This restaurant was more than my girlfriend and I could have ever expected. 5 ⭐️ from start to finish!
The waiter and chef, husband and wife respectively, were incredibly sweet and genuine. Being able to try all of the traditional, home-cooked, Sardo dishes during a single dinner was a culinary experience and something we never expected to find. Something like this is genuinely rare to find in this day and age. Don't worry if you don't think you can eat it all... they're more than happy to pack it up to-go for you!
The value of this experience, 45€ a head, is an incredible value for what you get here. It's a fixed menu, so if you want a typical restaurant where you pick and choose specific options and decide to write a poor review because it's not that, then you are missing the entire point and business model of this restaurant. In a nutshell, you come here to experience all of Sardegna's traditional food in a night. What they made is what you get. Remember that whether you specifically like every single dish is irrelevant. It's all cooked wonderfully, to perfection, with love. Do not review poorly just because something isn't your style. You now know what you're in for. As for my girlfriend and I, we loved everything and can't wait to return here on our next trip to Sardegna. Easily worth the hour drive from our village to here.
We reserved a table just a couple of hours before we arrived and they were able to accommodate us with ease. Please call ahead just as a courtesy, and if you have any food allergies, please inform them beforehand so that you can have the...
Read moreWe were 2 couples looking for a nice restaurant for the evening and had Daniele and Itala’s restaurant recommended. Unfortunately google maps had us arriving short on the street the restaurant was on and we had not made a booking and still our hots made us so welcome. Beautifully set table on the deck. Daniele chatted away to us with ease in English. We had beautiful wine. Then Itala’s magic was working. Course after course of bread, olives, a delicious tuna/red kidney bean/onion/anchovy dish which I would love the recipe for!!. Pasta (yummy), grilled lamb. Evidently there was a spicy sausage dish but we were very full at this stage. The best lemon sorbet I have ever had. A mandarin/grappa liquor that Itala had made. Mirto. Acquavite. All with an icy frosting on the outside of the bottle. Of course Daniele asked us if we would like coffee. But no. We really were spoilt. A delicious big meal. Thank you so much to our hosts who sat down at the end of the evening and chatted. As we listened to the faint ringing of sheep bells from across the field. Wonderful night. Will stay with us forever ❤️. Please don’t forget...
Read moreCome hungry! Expect an authentic family meal with these wonderful people. We were treated with such care and attention by Danielle. We were served a huge array of antipasti followed by two pasta courses, some meat, home made pastries then birthday cake. Washed down with quite a bit of red wine and finished off with a grappa. Everything was unbelievably tasty. Truly some of the best food we’ve had in many trips to Italy. We couldn‘t quite finish but we given a doggy bag. If you love food and enjoy an authentic family atmosphere, don‘t miss this...
