Hakuna Matata Beach — Restaurant in Tortolì

I was here a year ago and it was a pleasure, as the food I had for dinner was very good, worth of at least a 3 stars restaurant. So I came back this year and was very disappointed: not only was the behavior of the waiters kind of rude - the food became something you expect from a beach bar (pun intended) and not from a good restaurant, which it was before. Now they serve mostly "fries and burgers" after 4pm. But even the better food served before 4pm beame much, much worse. The tartare was the worst I had in a long time, the meat was partially black, like forgotten on the stove for a minute too long and while the desert looked very good - it tasted more or less like air... It seems like they have a different chef now. I wouldn't recommend it - especially if you expect the good experience from 2024 or earlier.

EDIT after reply from owner: Nope, this is the correct restaurant, though right, this wasn't a tartare - just raw-salmon-something. My memory could have mistaken me and it could have been lunch instead of dinner in 2024 - I've attached pictures...

Abbiamo iniziato il nostro pranzo alle 14, dopo 20 minuti arriva il cameriere a prendere l'ordine e abbiamo mangiato l'antipasto dopo altri 20 minuti. Aspettiamo altri 40 minuti, raggiunte quasi le 16 di pomeriggio, i piatti non erano ancora arrivati e decidiamo di alzarci, bloccando la seconda uscita e pagare ciò che avevamo mangiato e ordinato. arrivati in cassa la cameriera e una altro cameriere, molto scontroso nei nostri confronti, ci raggiungono dicendo che i nostri piatti erano gia pronti, mostrandomi la caesar. Prescindendo che la situazione si poteva sicuramente affrontare in un ambiente piú consono e con dei toni piú adeguati da parte del personale, decidiamo di risederci al tavolo e continuare il pranzo, nonostante non avessimo piu appetito, visto il tempo che era passato. Comunque ci servono uno spaghetto alle vongole, che arriva con le vongole crude e lo spaghetto crudo, senza sapore, quasi uno spaghetto in bianco, e una caesar salad senza pomodori, con una salsa Caesar molto acida e un pollo molto secco, bruciato, amaro al palato e immangiabile. Scontenti paghiamo comunque il conto compresi i due piatti finali, che sono stati appena assaggiati perché immangiabili e andiamo via. È stato un vero peccato passare un pranzo così brutto, perché la location è molto bella e la colazione é stata piacevole, con cappuccino fatto a regola d'arte. Durante il pranzo alla richiesta di bloccare i 2 piatti a seguire, quest'ultimi sono stati fatti di fretta per non farci andare via senza pagarli. Il cameriere, una volta in cassa, ci ha messo davanti alla scelta di portare via i piatti pronti o di tornare al tavolo per consumarli, dicendo che è normale avere trenta minuti di attesa tra una portata è altra (in realtá sono passati almeno 40 minuti), essendo nella settimana di ferragosto, che erano presenti 150 persone a pranzo e sottolineando che noi avevamo già goduto dall'antipasto e che c'erano altre persone sedute che dopo un'ora di attesa non avevano nemmeno ricevuto la prima portata (come se questo fosse un vanto) . Peccato che noi lavoriamo nel medesimo settore ed è inconcepibile una situazione così, se ci avessero detto che c'erano ritardi in cucina l'avremmo apprezzato sicuramente di piú. Ci siamo sentiti presi in giro per come siamo stati trattati da stupidi. Il classico locale che fá sedere persone all'infinito, non curando il cliente, perché l'importante é incassare i soldi di uno spaghetto alle vongole crudo e di una Caesar Salad...

Worst experience I’ve ever had in Italy. Tasteless horrible food and the even worse service. We waited for over an hour for our meal and when we got it at 22:30 everything was plain bland. When we politely told the staff, they first excused themselves on having a table of 25 people upstairs (even though the rest of the restaurant was empty) and then proceed to tell us the food was excellent and we just had poor taste. The waiter even had a bite from our plate without asking. After all of this, they charged us 100€. The photo shows us having “dinner” at home after spending 20€ per person here.
