With its awesome views, who really cares about the food. The food was very good but we'd been spoiled with really delicious food elsewhere. There was one other table and still the service was slow which we didn't mind at all, given the great views. Caution: The narrow road in front of the restaurant is really scary with very large trucks coming thru at a high rate of speed going uphill. A large truck almost swiped our SUV while we made a u-turn to go back to the restaurant right after...

This is the third time we come over this cozy place and it has never dissapointed us. It's managed by a local family that will really swamp you in what's called 'Bella Cucina Italiana' aka Good Italian Food. Its hand made pasta is superb and the also the hand made and local wine. The landscape is also gorgeous if you would like to have a romantic date with your beloved one in fact Tramonti, the town were the resto is placed means in Italian 'within the mountains'. Very impressed! Wonderful, fresh food! We enjoyed caprese salad Tonno salad, fresh ravioli with clams, lasagna, and perfectly fried calamari. Our server, Myriam, was a sweet girl who attended to our every need. The portions are more than adequate, the price is more than fair, and the quality exemplary! We loved it so much, that we dined here three times on our vacation. We are looking forward to returning again next year! Brava Il Castagneto!...
