A Casa Mia — Restaurant in Tricase

Horrific!

My italian friends brought me here with the best hopes, but the dinner became a nightmare soon. As we arrived, the staff said they didn't write down the reservation we made the day before (which they confirmed by phone in the morning) and we had to wait 40 minutes to be seated. They didn't even offer us a wine bottle or something to apologize, as it's common in Italy in these cases. At the table we ordered rather soon, given it was already late, and had to wait one full hour to get the entrées (not really worthy the price as well ..). When they served the pasta dishes to another table, arrived way after us, and not to us, we complained and they unrespectfully attributed their mistake to the fact one of us didn't want tomatoes in it's dish (for an allergy). One of the waiters served the pasta dish (also this one very pricy for its quality) slamming the plate on the table and mocking us "eat soon that it gets cold". When it was 1:30 and we were still waiting the grilled fish, after having fought between us about what to do, and with the unprofessional waiters, we decided to leave. No discount was made on our favour, no apologise were given, it was left just a dark and bitter resentment after a ruined dinner. Needless to say I strongly advise to...

Visited this place with Family... location is ideal to have lunch any day after sunbathing... for a family event not really to be recommended.service poor and slow. Did not ask for gluten-free option as I went for grilled scampi 🍤 from Gallipoli. The rest of the family went for fresh pasta dishes.. go only for selection of food on the menu..if you select off menu ( we did) prices are insanely high - for 6 slides of fish carpaccio they charged us 22€ as starter... house wine ok for all 3 options they offer. Kids seats available, also menu options. We went in august existing airCon is to weak to cool down the dining area.. for dessert and coffee we went to another place...as it was just to hot 🥵 -I recommend this place for a quick lunch, but...

Don't get trapped here!

Food was very overpriced for the quality and the grilled fish did not taste very fresh. 15€ for the worst tasting octopus salad on our 3-week Italy-trip and 18€ for the grilled fish (photo). Rosato house wine for 3€ was ok.

Impolite service. When we asked to change a dish, the owner said 'I'm the boss here' and when the food is as served, he made sure we understood that he has the say.

There are so many other good and reasonably priced restaurants along the...
