My wife and I were in Castelnuovo di Garfagnana in early November. It was our second or third day in Italy, and after walking around town for a while, we were quite hungry and tired. We showed up nearly 40 minutes early, but the gentleman who was there let us in anyway and served us drinks. When they officially opened he came over and took our order. Waited for ever whilst waiters walked past us numerous times befor they acknowledged us. Once seated we was served by a very friendly waitress she tried her best to speak English and helped us with the menu.

The restaurant was not full but the food took ages to arrive.

Focaccia was lovely ! risotto is just rice pudding with out the sugar. Steak was huge and very tasty but only came with a few potatoes Fried chicken was delicious however came with a dollop of mayonnaise and a spoon full of caramelised onions that was it!(couldn’t order any Other sides)
