We had a delicious vegan lunch! My 9 year old niece is dairy free so we were so happy to find this spot in Trequanda! She loved all of the vegan gelato and dessert options and the rest of us loved all of the tasty savory dishes! Even my meat-loving brother-in-law was shocked by how good the pasta with soy ragu was. We had: gazpacho, the bruschetta platter, red turnip hummus with fried plantains, and the vegetariana pizza. Everything was fresh, full of flavor and hearty without being too heavy (it was so nice to get veggies after days of meat and pasta). We weren’t excited about going out to eat but our late arrival made it inevitable. So this place had the odds stacked against it with our group of grumpy Americans walking through the door. They sat us down, took our order, and the pizza came fast enough to keep us from kvetching.
Margherita, Quattro formaggi, diavolo - all wonderful. Great flavor, well dressed (avoiding feeling greasy) and crust that can pass for bread. Even some of us who don’t normally eat the crust were eating it at the end dipped in chili oil.
