Merendero — Restaurant in Unione Rubicone e mare

We are a couple from the Netherlands, and we had the pleasure of dining at Merendero Cesenatico recently. Let us tell you, we had the best burger we’ve eaten in a long time! The sweet potato fries and nachos were also top-notch, adding to our delightful experience.

It’s refreshing to find a menu that offers something different in a seaside town dominated by seafood and pizza options. The friendly staff, who speak excellent English, made us feel very welcome and added to our enjoyable visit. We’re already looking forward to returning.

The only downside is that Merendero Cesenatico isn’t located directly on the beach but next to the street. If it were at the beach, we’d be having lunch there every day. No need to make a reservation, and next time, we’ll definitely try one of their cocktails.

2 Vegan burger options available here (beware, the Salsa Mere is NOT vegan-ok), plus a vegan falafel available at lunch time. Really popular place with lots of outdoor seating. Make a reservation, or give your name when you arrive and wait about 30 minutes. Staff was very friendly and professional. Our waiter forgot their was mayonnaise in the Salsa Mere and when our order arrived, we realized it and politely let the waiter know, he apologized and got us a new order. No problem. Vengo da anni in questo posto e l’ho sempre amato, sempre tutto perfetto… panini deliziosi, nuggets (una volta fatte da loro, o almeno credo) fenomenali, servizio sempre buono. Purtroppo nelle ultime 3 volte che sono venuto sono rimasto molto deluso, ho aspettato a scrivere questa recensione perché pensavo di aver beccato la serata sbagliata (conoscendo di famiglia molto bene il mondo della ristorazione so che può capitare), peccato che questa cosa sia capitata anche la seconda e poi la terza volta. Mi riferisco in particolare alle patatine fritte, che purtroppo da qualche mese a questa parte non sono più fritte. La prima volta sono state indegne, la seconda ancora peggio e la terza volta si sono risollevati un pelo… peccato però che siano peggiorati poi in altro, ho preso un PEDRO praticamente vuoto che conoscendo il posto mi ha lasciato abbastanza senza parole. Io capisco magari il panino scazzato, siamo appena entrati in stagione e non si trova personale quindi bisogna accontentarsi di ciò che c’è e un errore ci può stare, ma le patatine fatte al forno sono una cosa, a mio umile parere, ridicola (ho visto che avete aggiunto sul menù che sono fatte al forno ma non è affrontabile come cosa). Vivendo qua ed essendo innamorato di questo posto tornerò in futuro sperando di ritrovare il vecchio merendero. E sperando di modificare questa recensione… Siete un posto da 5 stelle piene e oltre, non rovinatevi con ste cazzate. Concludo con il dire che il panino “MERE” è sempre fenomenale e che i drink sono sempre stati buoni. Ps.
