Ristorante Pizzeria Levante '56 — Restaurant in Unione Rubicone e mare

Nobody speaks English at this place. I only asked a simple question, whether a particular dish (I even pointed at it in the menu) was vegetarian or not. The waiter said yes, but then I received a completely different VEGAN dish. When I said it's not what I ordered, the waitress just left without saying anything in any language. I tried to explain the situation to our main waiter who started to lecture me about pasta and basically said what I ordered was pasta and what I received was pasta, too, then he added it was "noodles". This is where I gave up and just handed him my plate and said no thank you, hoping he'd understand I wouldn't eat that, then I ordered some pizza instead. He came back two minutes later with the pasta I did NOT order and said "it's in the ticket". We just said we won't pay for something we didn't order, that was his mistake. Luckily, the pizza was okay (half-baked, but delicious) and I didn't have to pay for the pasta. It was a very disappointing experience, definitely...

Great restaurant, nicely decorated, good atmosphere, good and fast service, acceptable prices, clean. Wide selection of antipasti, pastas, pizzas, grilled seafood/meat and desserts. We were 4 and ordered many dishes just to try out different things on the menu. All were delicious. Our waitress was sweet and genuine. She gave us the best service. Since we don’t smoke and are used to smoking being prohibited most places in Norway, we really appreciated that there is a separate area for smoking here so that our food didn’t have to taste like smoke. Prendere per i fondelli un cliente non è mai una buona idea, se nel menu inserisci un primo piatto di mare con le vongole non puoi presentarti con dei lupini e giustificarti nei modo più banali ed insensati… nell’ordine la cameriera suppongo dell’est europeo per l’accento, con arroganza assoluta pretendeva di sostenere che i frutti di mare sono tutti uguali e che si scrive vongole in maniera generica, insisteva dicendo poi “io conosco i frutti di mare e vongole è un nome generico” e non finisce qui, quando vado alla cassa a pagare il ragazzo che prendeva i conti mi chiede se fosse andato tutto bene. Ovviamente gli ho posto la mia critica ed anche lui rispondeva con una risposta al quanto irritante ossia che scrivono vongole in maniera generica ma poi quello che gli porta il fornitore non lo sanno ed asseconda di quello che porta poi condiscono la pasta, sostenendo di farlo per il cliente per servire sempre qualcosa di fresco… Innanzitutto quando si parla di mare è ovvio che debba essere tutto fresco, altrimenti fai solo carni, ma poi che scuse raccontiamo, che le vongole si trovano sempre e comunque ? Senza calcolare la notevole differenza di costo tra lupini e vongole, genericamente 8-10 € al kg. Il tutto era cucinato decentemente con porzioni accettabili, anche se nel tagliere dei salumi nella terra della mortadella qualche fetta te la aspetteresti ed invece no. Per finire il personale non sa cosa sia un sorriso, quasi sembra che siano arrabbiati con la clientela che poi fa si che loro abbiano ancora un lavoro. Per la mia personale esperienza bocciato.
