Unfortunately an unpleasant surprise, considering the quite positive reviews.
They had us eating in the courtyard, which is nothing more than a claustrophobic hallway. It was worse than being outside, as no air was coming through whatsoever, and on a hot summer evening, we were both sweating within a couple of minutes at 8 pm.
We ordered two passatelli with asparagus, cherry tomatoes and sausage, a chicken breast, and a rare beef steak.
The passatelli had a nice flavor, but were seriously missing the asparagus. There were maybe 7 or 8 tiny bits in the dish, and had we been blindfolded, we would’ve never guessed there were any at all. Absolutely couldn’t taste the asparagus in it.
The chicken breast was nice. A well balanced vinaigrette gave it a nice flavor. There was a whole, unpeeled clove of garlic on the plate. We found it “interesting”.
The €20 “steak” was a ridiculously thin, 1/3 of an inch, maybe 3 or 4 oz slice of beef with a bone and untrimmed chunks of fat. Being that thin, it obviously couldn’t be cooked rare as requested, but medium at the very best, with the thinnest edge being practically well done. It was honestly embarrassing.
I really could not recommend this place, which again I find surprising, considering the decent reviews. Maybe we went on the wrong evening? Who knows. But we won’t go again to find out.

Serata uggiosa e nebbiosa... io e mia moglie in visita ad Urbino avevamo voglia di qualcosa di caldo: un bel brodo con i passatelli! Questa ľintenzione che ci ha fatto approdare in questo ristorante piuttosto "vintage" nella location.
Brodo di manzo molto equilibrato di gran sapore, passatelli di giusta consistenza e buon gusto, (forse tagliati un po troppo lunghi 5/6 cm, per essere pratici da raccogliere con il cucchiaio; ma facilmente spezzabili per gustarne l'esperienza insieme al brodo).
A seguire abbiamo preso un filetto di Scottona marchigiana alla griglia, divino... Il taglio con un'altezza di almeno 5 cm, ha subito decretato la generosità della porzione, la perfettissima cottura con la superficie in "crosta" e ľinterno morbido, rosso e succulento; ha poi ha deliziato i nostri palati, il condimento con la giusta quantità di sale grosso, ha infine conferito gusto e sapore alla golosa pietanza la cui morbidezza era tale da evitare anche l'uso del coltello... (spero di avervi reso ľidea).
Due contorni: funghi porcini arrosto conditi con aglio e prezzemolo, buonissimi e patate.
Il tutto innaffiato da un ottimo "Lacrima di Morro d'Alba" Mancinelli.
Per concludere l'esperienza gustativa, un dessert di gelato al fior di latte con amarene di Cantiano, noci e scaglie di cioccolato fondente. Semplice squisitezza per le nostre papille.
Ľempatica simpatia e compagnia comunicativa di Enrico (titolare), da vero oste di un tempo, la buona preparazione delle ragazze di sala, la superba professionalità degli chef in cucina e non in ultimo il prezzo di assoluta onestà intellettuale per la qualità delle materie prime utilizzate; hanno fatto il resto.

We visited with our kids (9 & 5) and were a bit late for lunch (13:15). The waiter took a quick look at the clock, but decided instantly to stay open a bit longer.
When we left we thanked her for staying open, and she said they did not mind and it happened more often. Nonetheless it was much appreciated!
