We arrived before noon in early March on a nice day. There are very little signs that point in the right direction so you must rely on the location seen on Google maps. If you’re driving, leave your car in the few spots among the vineyards before you reach the gated parking lot. From there, you can walk 1 minute to the destination.

We did not purchase any wine but did grab a piece of cheese and cured meat from The self service fridge inside the stone house. Both were delicious and it was nice that cutting boards and knives are provided.

The view and atmosphere is spectacular and like the name implies, there was zero staff on site. Unfortunately the self payment cash machine didn’t work so we had to shove as much cash as we had on us inside the cash box.

One of a kind experience, highly recommend if you’re...

Pretty much every article you read about the Prosecco region of Italy is going to have some mention of Osteria Senz’Oste and quite rightly so. Why? This is one unique ‘dining establishment’. Firstly, there are only patrons, no staff. Osteria Senz’Oste is a self-service tavern that operates on an honesty policy basis.

You’re only going to find basics here: bread, meat, cheese, water and, of course, Prosecco, but they are the perfect ingredients for an al fresco picnic with some shockingly good views. If you’re on a budget or you’re short on time (Italian meals are not known for their speed), this is a brilliant stop.

Bonus: You’re just over the road from the popular Col Vetoraz Vineyard and just down the hill from the Prosecco vending machine (yes,...

We loved our visit here, something different in a beautiful setting. The views are great and even with other people around you can still find a little place to yourself. I read some negative reviews so I was hesitant but all I can say is embrace it for what it is… You can buy a half bottle for 9 euros, there are plastic cups for free and you don’t have to buy food if you don’t want to. A full bottle ranges from 15-20 euros, it is a business after all! And other drink options are available. You can use a card for payment, the machine had a glitch and the guy came and fixed it within 2 minutes. There were not only tourists visiting but Italians too. It’s also on a bus route up until around 6pm I think. It was very chilled and we were really pleased...

We visited here on the recommendation of a friend and absolutely loved it. Walk up the hill, buy a bottle of Prosecco and some meat and bread, and enjoy an outdoor lunch in beautiful scenery. The place can be a little confusing to find the first time. Google Maps will get you to the right place, but signage is very limited, and you’ll probably end up driving to the end of the paved road and Col Veteraz Spumanti’s parking lot. If that’s the case, just turn around and go back out on the road. You can literally park between the grapevine rows that run at an angle to the road if there are spots available. Then just walk up the hill. We will definitely be returning on our next visit!
