Rocce Nere — Restaurant in Valtournenche

This comment is about the restaurant (the serviced one, nor the self-service). We have visited the restaurant in 2022, 2023 and today 26 March 2024. We are very very disappointed. It is an elegant place and has always been pricey, but now: 1. the prices have become exorbitant: a pixza us 28 Euto, expect to pay 45-50 Euro for a main course (side dishes cost 7 Euro and are not included in the main course price), 2. some dishes are delicious, some are simply mediocre (we were a group of 6) and 3. You get the feeling you are getting fleeced : WHY were we NOT offered the plat du jour that is available? All in all, bitter feeling and not going back to the serviced part. We did a reservation but when we arrived they did not find it but we were lucky to get a table. It took almost 30 minutes to get a very simple antipasti with ham cheese and vegetable, while we were waiting many other tables were served much faster. As a main course we ordered 4 different kind of primi piatti, 2 arrives on time, 1 10 minutes later and the other did not arrive , after many times we asked and complained we decided to ask for the bill. Been there twice and both times the navigation was very weak: firstly why make personnel guide lost customers from the upstairs every time they are simply looking for the spot with the best view? Secondly, is it hard to make even slightest visual cues for directing the queue for a clear service?
