Da Gigi Cucina e Pizzeria — Restaurant in Venice

The food was good and the prices were fair, but the service was bad. My wife and I stayed in an airbnb near the restaurant and so we tried it the first night we were there. We both noticed that the lady who seated us wasn't very friendly. The room was nearly empty and they seated us right next to where the waiters' station was, which was a kind of annoying. They initially gave us the French version of the menu, and we struggled for a while using Google translate. After a few minutes, the waiter asked us if we wanted the English menu, which was very helpful. The younger female waitress was nice, but everyone else seemed annoyed to deal with Americans. The next night we were tired from walking around Venice, so we thought we would give them one more try. We came in to the same grumpy lady who sat us in the same spot. The male waiter dropped the English menus at our table without a word. There were no smiles or kind words from anyone, so we got up and walked out.

We walked down the street to a little Cafe named Rosticceria Bottazzo. We had a couple of fried sandwiches that were very tasty, and the people were were extremely nice.

ABBIAMO RISCHIATO DI SOFFOCRE ore e ore in OSPEDALE . Ci siamo recati a mangiare in questo ristorante nella periferia di marghera, appena entrati abbiamo visto che non era un posto adatto alle nostre abitudini però ci siamo fermati ugualmente, abbiamo ordinato del pesce , pesce crudo ( che puzzava, infatti io ho mangiato quasi nulla, poi il primo era pesce sempre , però cotto. Sufficiente ma non ottimo , e qui e'nulla . Un mio amico ha ordinato un Branzino , che e' arrivato circa 50 minuti dopo averlo ordinato, abbiamo chiesto gentilmente di farlo spinare , la ragazza , di cui non facciamo uno colpa ma che ovviamente non aveva esperienza ha spinato a modo suo, il risultato e' stato un pesce che era pienissimo di spine , grandi e piccole , ma erano davvero. Moltissime, per non imbarazzare la camereriera con molta pazienza il mio amico ha deciso di mangiare lo stesso però stando attento alle spine, ma ad un certo punto una spina ' grande si è INFILZATA in GOLA , il ragazzo che soffre di asma ha cominciato a stare male e un dolore molto forte ha iniziato a fare molto fastidio , abbiamo avvertito la cameriaera, che gentilmente si e' scusata, però il panico e i forti dolori hanno reso tesa la situazione , a quel punto abbiamo deciso di andare al Pronto SOCCORSO , giunti in velocitàin cassa dove stava un ragazzo alla cassa che mi sembrava rumeno o albanese dal l'accento abbiamo riferito che dovevamo pagare e scappare subito perché la persona stava davvero male!!! Ma a quel punto il ragazzo ha iniziato ad insultarci e alzare la voce dicendo che era impossibile che una spina si fosse fermata in gola, ci volevano mandare via il prima possibile , come se non bastasse ci hanno fatto pagare un conto di quasi 150 euro , oltre quello che e' successo , al quel punto il mio amico che stava Alissa o gli ha detto che era una vergogna , il ragazzo della casa ha iniziato ha urlare e dirci che dovevamo andare via ci ha insultato a volte alta calcalate che eravamo in tre io lui di 40 anni e un nostra amica dim54 anni anch'essa insultata e offesa , un esperienza incredibile è vergognosa, siamo andati via e corsi in pronto soccorso dove abbiamo passato tutta la sera in codice GIALLO , alla fine la spina e' stata tolta e misurava 2 cm e 2 !!!!! E' stato vergognoso è incredibile quello che e' successo !!! Questo ristorante non e' un posto dove mangiare certo cibo...

Prima di tutto, vorrei sottolineare che il servizio è un disastro. Abbiamo ordinato un hamburger e ci è stata servita una porzione di patatine fritte con carne di hamburger, e quando abbiamo chiesto dove fosse il resto dell'hamburger, la cameriera si è chiesta che si trattasse di un ristorante e non di McDonalds. Va chiarito all'ospite che se sta già ordinando un hamburger con patatine fritte, come indicato nel menu, dovrebbe portare il proprio hamburger, pomodori, salsa hamburger, insalata e quant'altro vuole, perché purtroppo niente viene con esso qui. Se per il ristorante questo significa qualcosa di diverso da quella che comunemente viene definita la ricetta dell'hamburger, allora sarebbe loro dovere segnalarlo e farlo conoscere agli ospiti. E la cameriera bionda con le trecce non fa parte di un ristorante, ma nemmeno tra la gente. Non vedevo un servizio così terribile da molto tempo, ma forse mai prima d'ora Scortese e irrispettoso. il cibo che abbiamo ricevuto era gustoso nonostante le carenze, quindi massimo rispetto per la cucina.
