Radici — Restaurant in Vico del Gargano

If you're on holiday looking for a seafood restaurant with a terrace and a seaside view, I get it—go for it. That’s not what Radici is. Instead, you'll descend into a charming basement and be greeted by the warmest, most authentic smiles. Here, they slow-cook their pork ribs for 30 hours, caramelising them with figs. They smoke their mussels, and boldly (or blasphemously) serve fried cod with buffalo milk and charcoal. Oh and they have the most delicious lemon and olive oil ice-cream. But here's the best part: it’s all done without a hint of pretension.

At Radici, love and passion for food, quality ingredients, and the Gargano territory shine through in every dish. Sure, I enjoy the typical touristy seafood spots too, but I love Radici more. I'll be back, and I'll recommend it to everyone visiting Vico and the surrounding area. Best...

Ho recentemente avuto il piacere di pranzare in questo delizioso ristorante e sono rimasto completamente rapito dall'esperienza culinaria che mi è stata offerta. Ogni piatto che ho assaggiato era un capolavoro di sapori autentici e ingredienti freschi, che mi ha portato in un viaggio gastronomico nel cuore della tradizione pugliese.

Per iniziare, ho optato per l'impepata di cozze affumicate, un'opera d'arte gustativa che ha saputo stuzzicare i miei sensi. Le cozze erano freschissime e il loro sapore affumicato le rendeva ancora più speciali. Il brodo ricco e aromatico, creava un equilibrio perfetto di sapori intensi. Ogni cucchiaio era una delizia.

Successivamente, ho assaggiato il piatto di cicorie e fave, un'autentica espressione della cucina regionale. Le cicorie erano preparate in modo eccellente, conservando la loro consistenza croccante e il loro sapore amarognolo distintivo. Le fave, cotte alla perfezione, si sono rivelate un'ottima combinazione, creando un piatto leggero ma ricco di gusto.

Il momento clou del mio pasto è stato la punta di maiale, un piatto che ha conquistato il mio palato. La carne era incredibilmente tenera e succulenta, evidenziando l'abilità dello chef nel trattare con maestria i tagli di carne.

Per concludere in bellezza, ho optato con un gelato al limone, il dolce perfetto per chiudere un pasto così straordinario. La consistenza era setosa e il gusto del limone era fresco e vibrante, regalandomi una sensazione di freschezza e soddisfazione.

Non posso fare a meno di menzionare anche l'atmosfera accogliente e il servizio impeccabile che ho trovato in questo ristorante. Lo staff era cordiale, attento e pronto a soddisfare ogni mia esigenza, rendendo l'esperienza ancora più piacevole.

In definitiva, se cercate un ristorante dove assaporare autentiche prelibatezze mediterranee, questo è il posto giusto per voi. Non vedo l'ora di tornarci per assaporare altre creazioni culinarie che sicuramente mi sorprenderanno...

Unexpected discovery! Menu is constructed so well that I wanted to try everything. Finally we chose for first dishes carbonara and pistachio pesto. Oh my, both were extraordinary. Creamy carbonara was so rich in taste and tuna with pesto was super soft. Traditional stew that we took for main dish was really delicious with different kinds of meat. Desert was good balance with sweet and sour, hot and cold. Ive cream home made for sure, so creamy and thick.
