Al Tramonto — Restaurant in Vieste

Ok, was ok .. the service needs to be improved but looks like rubbed by practicants so, is ok, if is for study purpose. We waited 40 min for 2 bruschettas (this should be quite fast to do as was also missing salt (and any garlic but that comes and goes on some bruschettas ) just bread , grilled, olive oil , tomatoes and Rucola .... 40 min is too much) and the bottle of water was forgotten until I mentioned it. No bread or bread sticks on the table at least to have with what to drink the wine which came very fast , 30 seconds after ordering, ( so fast I was impressed). Grilled fish ok, not overcooked very nice, but hmm some small side would be nice or some sauce or something ..like 5 little potatoes, some polenta, some grilled paprika would be very nice to change the taste. Or at least recommend taking a side, although would be too much if taken separately. The fish is enough but as I said some split in taste would be nice. Steak was nice , we order m medium and came medium rare but lucky us we like also medium rare. So a bit split opinions . But was ok and potatoes nice as I eat some with the fish... So to early to know what is what... A bit of more coordination and will improve the rating. We will return, good luck...

Sicuramente la location è molto apprezzata per la sua posizione e per la vista di cui gode, però un ottima location non vuol dire sempre alta qualità. Premetto che parlo da responsabile di sala e quindi l'occhio principalmente è finito sul servizio e non sulla qualità dei piatti che si è dimostrata ottima e di giusta porzione. Io e la mia ragazza siamo del settore e abbiamo visto una grandissima disorganizzazione nel servizio. Il "caposala", al nostro arrivo, non avendo prenotato il tavolo e preoccupato di un temporale imminente si è presentato sbuffando e quasi scocciato della cosa. Da caposala capisco pienamente l'esigenza di non dare tavoli all'aperto per non creare precedenti spiacevoli però sbuffare all'arrivo dei clienti mi sembra abbastanza scomodo e poco professionale. Finita la prima portata ci hanno chiesto più volte se avessimo preso qualcos'altro e sempre persone diverse. Ogni cosa che veniva portata al tavolo era data da persone diverse quindi automaticamente nessuno sapeva cosa faceva l'altro. Un consiglio che posso dare è l'attenzione maggiore al cliente e al tavolo stesso, anche perchè avete due dei 3 requisiti fondamentali una location favolosa e un ottimo cibo, ma purtroppo il servizio è...

There's an overall theme in the comments which I agree with. The food is good (though I suspect fish or pizza are the safest options), the location is very nice also for a walk after dinner, most of the staff seem like hard working professionals, BUT one of them comes across as wishing us pesky tourists would just go away. You know who you are, Grumpy! So, go enjoy your meal and have fun...
