Braceria CARIGLIA — Restaurant in Vieste

Ho cenato in questa braceria con alcuni amici. In pratica ci si reca al banco macelleria, si fa la fila e si selezionano i tagli di carne desiderati, che poi il personale cucinerà. Tutti i tagli di carne hanno il proprio presso al kg esposto in bella vista nel bancone. Quello che loro si guardano bene dal dire è che quei prezzi valgono solamente per chi porta la carne via. Per tutti quelli che mangeranno in loco esiste un cartellone con un altro prezziario. Il cartellone in questione si trova alle spalle dei dipendenti dietro al bancone e non è di immediata visione. Inoltre se nessuno ti spiega come funziona è davvero controintuitivo capire cosa fare. Ovviamente questo cartellone prevede sovrapprezzi davvero esagerati: in pratica le carni rosse (che sul bancone stavano meno di 20€ al kg) vengono a fare 40 EURO AL KG (!!!) mentre il resto (roba che va dagli 8-9 al Kg ai 15,16 al Kg) viene a fare 22 AL KG (!!!). In pratica ti raddoppiano i prezzi praticamente di nascosto perché il cartellone non si vede bene e loro volutamente non ti spiegano niente. Ieri sera era molto affollato e gran parte della clientela si è resa conto dell'inganno solo dopo aver ricevuto gli scontrini. In pratica è esattamente questo ciò che loro cercano. Noi, una volta accorti della discrepanza, abbiamo chiesto chiarimenti al bancone in maniera gentile e le risposte sono state "se volete risparmiare vi andate a mangiare la pizza" e altre amenità con toni molto ostili. Il messaggio sottinteso delle loro maleducate parole era che lamentarsi era da pezzenti. Ciliegina sulla torta: 3€ di coperto!!! Considerate che voi vi fate una lunga fila, scegliete la carne, loro la cucinano e voi andate a ritirarla: in pratica sto coperto in cosa consiste? Nel fatto di aver apparecchiato una tavola? E ciò vale 3€ a persona? Ad alcuni amici la carne è anche arrivata fredda. Insomma, luogo che esiste con lo scopo primario di ingannare il cliente e fargli spendere molti soldi attraverso l'equivoco. Davvero vergognoso!

EDIT Aggiungo questa parte a seguito della risposta del locale: Il fatto che tantissimi clienti riscontrino lo stesso problema di trasparenza dimostra che la vostra opacità è dolosa. É evidente che voi lo facciate volontariamente. I nostri modi sono stati gentili, siete voi che ci avete trattato con molta ostilità e maleducazione. É chiaro che una volta capito che il vostro locale funziona attraverso l'inganno noi abbiamo la necessità di dover controllare scrupolosamente tutto quello che facciamo. Se volete evitare queste recensioni basta essere persone corrette e trasparenti sui prezzi e sul funzionamento. Ripeto: se moltissimi clienti riscontrano questo problema è ovvio che siete voi che lo fate di proposito!!! Da notare che anche in queste risposte si capisce il vostro rapporto con il cliente e la vostra sensibilità alle critiche: ieri ci avete invitato a mangiare la pizza alla gentile richiesta di rimuovere qualche pezzo, mentre adesso ci dite che non siamo abituati a mangiare fuori. Altra cosa che mi avete detto ieri sera una volta che vi ho chiesto di rimuovere l'hamburger é stata del tipo "che vi cambiano questi 12€?". Ho risposto "sono uno studente, mi cambia" e avete risposto una cosa tipo "questa mi é nuova" anche se non sono sicuro di aver sentito bene (spero!). Non credo sia compito del locale decidere se mi cambia qualcosa questa spesa oppure no. Insomma scorretti e anche maleducati! Poi non so se 500ml di limoncello (per 20 persone) possono rimediare ad un comportamento arrogante e truffaldino!

P.s. io non ho bloccato tre banconisti, ho semplicemente chiesto ad una persona di rimuovere due pezzi. A quel punto ne sono accorsi altri due a rispondere in maniera scostumata alle nostre richieste. Tutto questo a locale ormai quasi svuotato, senza creare nessun ingorgo...

This very much is a tourist trap where they overcharge for average-tasting meat without showing the right prices.

We went here to eat yesterday and as soon as we finished choosing our meats we were met with a way higher price to pay than what was written on the menu. There was a sign (in italian) hidden behind the counter stating that for each item of meat “to be cooked” (aka just slapped on a grill for five minutes) the price would rise to 21.9 €/kg.

Even then, we were charged up to 40 €/kg for some items (a hamburger ended up costing 22€!). When we asked to remove a couple of items - before they were cooked - because the price was too high, the owner started heckling us, asking us why we didn’t go eat pizza if we wanted to save money and muttering insults under his breath.

Bare in mind that we were 20 people and still ended up paying a total of around 700€, probably the biggest table of the night and were treated with absolute disrespect.

The meat was average tasting but still good, although we were expecting much more. We were offered limoncello at the end of the dinner , which was a saving grace.

Next time we will listen to the owner. Leave, pay nothing and bring our money...

BEWARE TOURISTS!!!

I had an absolutely terrible experience at this butcher shop. What seemed like a regular place to buy some local meat turned out to be a nightmare. First off, the prices are a complete scam. They literally double the prices without any warning, and the change in pricing is only indicated on a small, barely noticeable sign. It felt like a deliberate attempt to deceive customers, especially those unfamiliar with the area.

When we brought this up with the owner, instead of addressing our concerns professionally, he rudely dismissed us with a sarcastic "Go have a pizza." Such an attitude is completely unacceptable, especially when dealing with customers who are clearly being overcharged.

To make matters worse, when we finally got the receipt, we noticed that many cuts of meat had been charged at even higher prices than those listed! It was an absolute rip-off, and the whole experience left a bitter taste in our mouths.

In summary, avoid this butcher shop at all costs. The pricing is dishonest, the service is rude, and the entire operation feels like a tourist trap designed to take advantage of unsuspecting customers. Spend your...
