Carpe Diem — Restaurant in Villar Perosa

This was one of the best pizzas I have ever eaten in my life. My wife and I went to Carpe Diem, and I was immediately impressed by the atmosphere of the restaurant—it’s warm and welcoming. The prices were surprisingly affordable, but when we received our order, I was truly blown away. The pizza sauce was so fresh and delicious that I can hardly find the words to describe it. My wife ordered gnocchi and a vegetarian pizza, and both were excellent as well. To finish, we had two tiramisu, which was absolutely fabulous. The entire meal cost only €42, which felt like an incredible value considering the quality of the food and service. The staff were very polite and friendly. Su consiglio di parenti, vado a cenare presso Carpe Diem di Villar Perosa. Una trattoria/pizzeria conosciuta nella zona sia per la pizza buona che per la cucina tradizionale di terra e di mare.

Oltre al menù alla carta, sono da apprezzare anche le proposte del giorno; ammetto che sono tante le proposte ma anche tanti piatti che assaggeresti volentieri, quindi mi complimento anche per la scelta proposta nel menù.

Ho mangiato delle linguine alle vongole. Devo dire buone e abbastanza gustose. Personalmente avrei preferito che le vongole venissero messe a fine preparazione piatto. Erano quasi tutte vuote, cioè le vongole nella pasta senza guscio e i gusci immischiati tra le linguine. Va bene lo stesso, ma avrebbe donato ancora più bellezza al piatto.

I miei hanno mangiato pizza, e hanno detto che è buona. Vengono spesso ultimamente e ora capisco perché. Il dolce, cioè la torta caprese, mia mamma ha detto che ha un buon gusto. Avrei aggiunto qualche dettaglio al piattino, è da migliorare come si "impiatta". Ma si tratta di trattoria quindi non ci si complica sui dettagli.

Ho bevuto coca cola e acqua. È una bella cosa utilizzare sistemi per l'erogazione dell'acqua senza l'uso di plastica. Riduce i costi e fa bene anche all'ambiente.

Il personale è gentile, disponibile e non lavorano agitati. Sono persone preparate e organizzate bene per il servizio che offrono.

Tante le pizze di asporto, ho notato che c'erano anche persone che senza preavviso attendevano a lungo per avere le pizze. Un segno che è un must mangiare la loro pizza. Prossima volta lo farò anch'io.

Due consigli: primo, valutare il passaggio al digitale, cioè introduzione di codice QR per vedere menù e sistema digitale per le comande. Usare block notes e post it è storia. Investire anche nella tecnologia e ridurre gli sprechi di carta e penna, e due, installazione di un sistema all'entrata nel locale che non permetta all'aria congelata di entrare nel locale ogni volta che si apre la porta. Ho dovuto indossare il maglione tutto il tempo.

We visited a few days ago and instantly fell in love with the pizza. Today, my husband and I came back to pick up two pizzas for takeaway, and the staff was just as warm and welcoming. On our first visit, we tried the tiramisu, honestly the best we’ve ever had, and this time, they surprised us with a small gift of tiramisu to take home. It truly made our day! We don’t speak much Italian, but we were so grateful for the kindness. The pizza is fantastic, and the tiramisu is on another level.
