Restaurant Gasthof Gerda is a lovely restaurant and hotel located in the center of Burgusio, a small town that has some nice touristic attractions. After visiting the castle and the monastery, Restaurant Gerda is the best place to have lunch. The location is extremely nice and tipical, and it's possible to have lunch, dinner or just get something at the bar. The staff is very kind and speaks both Italian and German. The quality of the food is very good compared to other similar places, there is a wide choice of first plates, meats, soups and desserts, all tipical dishes that won't disappoint. As I wrote above, the quality of the food is excellent and the quantity of food is also very generous. The prices are very competitive and honest, for example a generous plate of spaghetti with fresh homemade meat sauce only costs 7€ and compared to other places is quite excellent. We found this restaurant in a hurry and we gave it a try for the good reviews.

Checking the menu, we saw that the meat specialties prices were high and we didn’t want the pasta ones so at the end we asked for two cordon bleu with patatine .

18 euros each for this plate is still quite high and the plates were nothing special.

For dessert, we asked gelato alla vaniglia con lamponi caldi and tortina al cioccolato con gelato alla vaniglia (this one they say they last like 15 min preparing it) The desserts were delicious, especially the tortina.

With a couple of espressos we paid 57,50 euros.

Leider trauriges Update: War heute seit langem [11 Monate) mal wieder dort. Das Essen alleine hätte wie früher die 5 Sterne wirklich verdient, jedoch machte der Service (hauptsächlich der Wirt) eigentlich den ganzen Abend kaputt. Bestellung zügig aufgenommen, Essen und 1. Getränk zügig geliefert, aber dann fing es an. Während dem Essen waren die Getränke leer, der Wirt meinte dafür sind die Bedienungen zuständig (nur zwei Bedienungen für ein volles Restaurant von dieser Größe schon wenig und die sollen auch noch einschenken und servieren???).Somit schon während dem Essen auf dem "Trockenen" gesessen. Dann wird der Tisch (Teller) abgeräumt und weitere Bestellungen (Desert und weitere Getränke) komplett ignoriert. Servicekräfte laufen immer nur an den Tischen vorbei und wollen anscheinend Nichts mehr an Uns verkaufen. Der Hammer war dann der Wirt selbst!!! Er holte bei uns am Tisch die leeren Gläser um diese "zwischenzuspülen"!!! Trotz Nachfrage bzgl. einer weiteren Bestellung sind wir dann nach weiteren 15 Minuten durstig aufgestanden und wollten an der Theke bezahlen nachdem wir mittlerweile insgesamt über 1hh im Restaurant waren (bzgl. Kasse machen kam ja auch niemand!). Bezahlung nur beim Wirt möglich hieß es. Dieser regt sich derart auf, da einer unsere Gruppe bemerkte das sich der Wirt beim Wechselgeld derart verrechnet hat (trotz digitaler Kasse und es ging nicht um Cent-Beträge!?). Nie wieder und ich ich schäme mich dafür weitere Gäste mitgebracht zu haben. Denn diese konnten so ein Service-Verhalten absolut nicht verstehen!!!

Kurz und Bündig: Die Speisen sind echt lecker und hochwertig, man wird mich hier aber nie wieder sehen. Denn für für mich gehört in einem Restaurant das so auf Etikette achtet, einfach ein gewisser Mindeststandart beim Sevice hinzu. Vor allem beim...
