The ambiance, food, and service are pretty good. However, only go here if you have a very sharp eye for detail and don't mind arguing over multiple overcharges on your bill. I WAS OVERCHARGED BY 50%.
Firstly they don't not give you an itemized bill. I had to ask for one.
The Don't list any service charge. The manager tried to tell me it was in tiny print. I showed him the menu it did not have any service charge listed. he then said that it was part of the GST. More on that later. So I I initially left a $1000 on top of and on multiple overcharges.
Then the fish I ordered was listed on the menu at 2000 Jamaican. They charged me $3,500. The manager first told me that that figure was including the tax in gratuity. I said it wasn't and did the calculation. after more arguing and me doing the calculations and showing him, he then argued it was because The fish is charged at market price and not at $2,000 fixed price. I countered with if you go to McDonald's and you order a $5 00 hamburger and they give you a hamburger but then insist after you're done charging you $2,000 for it and say they gave you a bigger patty, it isn't going to fly. after much arguing in me telling him I was going to call the credit card company and have it charged back to him and that would cost him an extra $100 US and put his merchant account in jeopardy he finally agreed to honor the price listed on the menu.
Next you tried to tell me that the value added tax for Jamaica is 25%. I've been to many places in Jamaica and I know the tax is 15%. He told me I was wrong. I then pulled up the Jamaican tax authorities website and showed him it was 15%,, and pulled up on my phone other receipts and showed him it was 15%. We got that adjusted after an additional 15 to 20 minutes of arguing and researching.
In some, the total that I ended up paying without looking was over $11,000. When I went through everything the correct amount was barely $7,000. I'm sure many people have overlooked this, many people. They did not provide an itemized bill, and added the extra charges at incorrect rates and had so many excuses for everything that changed... I wouldn't charge this place as far as I...
Read moreThis has to be one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever received. We regularly try restaurants in negril and have never had service this bad. When arriving upon the restaurant we was told to wait at the bar to be seated. However there was multiple tables available that could fit our party of 4 so we asked the server if we could sit at one of the available tables and she agreed. Once seated she gave us 1 menu and said the rest of the party can scan the QR code to view the menu. After 30 mins of being seated no one has come to take the our drinks/ food order. So we went to the bar to order there and was then told the kitchen was closed. We then complained and said we’ve been seated for over 30 mins with menus and no one has come over to take our order. They sent our server back to our table to take our food/drink order. We order 3 soft drinks and 1 rum punch, only the soft drinks came after another 20 mins of waiting. We then called our server over again to asked about the missing rum punch and she said she would get it right away. After an 1h 30 mins of being the restaurant we still hadn’t received the rum punch and asked how long roughly how long our food would be and was told it would be a while and that she didn’t have to put our order through as the kitchen was closed. Nearly 2 hours later after only receiving our soft drinks we decided to leave and on our way out, our server who was taking food out to the Japanese outdoor dining area, approached us and said are you leaving so I can cancel your food order. She showed no sympathy and was generally very rude the whole time we was there. We also wasn’t the only table to leave without food that...

There are so many things I love about the place. First, the ambience and vibe is perfect - day or night, it is the ultimate chill spot. Better yet, after having the great opportunity of speaking with the owner (he is so genuine and kind - a really ambitious guy), he disclosed that they are planning to have an amazing addition to the restaurant and I just cannot wait for the full renovations to be completed. It's going to be even more awesome!
Then there's the amaazziiinnnggg customer service. All the waiters and servers and bartenders are extremely genuine, humorous and charismatic. I mean, at this point, I feel like we're friends.
The food is the next great thing. Not too overpriced compared to the other restaurants in the area to be honest. It might just be the least expensive given all the services they provide.
This is where I'm going to be a very regular customer. It's perfect for lunch with the girls, a date night, a family night out or even a solo date spot. They have spots that accommodate all types. Going with my big brother to catch up was a really great experience, we laughed and chat while we waited and our waiter Mr. Gray ("with 50 Shades", gotta mention that) definitely entertained some of our conversations. This is my third time and I'm yet to have anything negative to say and I know I won't have to in the future.

P.s. I couldn't wait to eat the food, completely disregarding a picture, which wouldn't have made it had my sister not been so...
