A beautiful beach. The food from the bar is good. The main draw backs with the place are: 1. Finding where the place is was a bit tricky using Google Maps because the property entrance is slightly concealed under some trees & in off the main road. There is a sign by the main road but if your not very careful, you may miss it cuz I think a bigger, more bold sign would be useful. The gate also looks old and one may think the place is abandoned. It is when a security walked up from a small station that we didn't feel so lost anymore, lol. After entering, you realise that property is actually a fairly well maintained lawn, well paved road from the gate to the hill leading to the beach, flowers, etc. 2. The road leading you to the beach is terrible. You have to go up a hill (within what looks like a big yard) to eventually get to the beach. So if your vehicle is very low, careful not to damage your under carriage due to rugged surface/stones or slipping tires going up the hill too quickly. Otherwise, decent secluded beach. It shares the beach space with Couples San Souci. Free in the week. Cost on busier weekends/Friday, i think. I like 👍

We brought our own drinks, the beach was clean and the water was oh so clear and pretty. If you are a lover of nature like I am then you might be pleased to see some pretty fishes swimming around you. There is a swing if you are into that and a bar/restaurant that you can order from or you could just bring your own food. It is free of course and it is right next door to the Couples hotel. The benches there were broken when I went but they made up for it with bamboo benches and there is a changing area with a shower that you can use. Don't knock it until you try it.

Omg where should I start. Ok this restaurants is tucked away on a beautiful beach. I love the ambiance and how relaxing you feel. I was alittle upset about the wait but I soon forgot. Now the food, that lobster was sooooooooo goooood. I almost ate my fingers😂😂. That chef back there made me really happy, everything was a 10. I will be back soon soon.

The name "Pleasure Cove" is a misnomer. Disaster Cove, Folly Cove, or Disappointment Cove would be more fitting. From hidden fees to overpriced food, and an abusive manager who berates guests, our experience was an absolute failure. We shall never set foot here again. Avoid this place at all costs!

Their strict no-food, no-drinks policy is understandable, given the lack of an entry fee. However, even with signs present, the manager stood at the entrance reminding everyone about the policy, which was distasteful. She wouldn't let us in with Doritos which we thought peculiar because they only sell banana chips and peanuts as snacks. She then feels the need to lecture us about Puerto Seco charging an entry fee and people gladly pay. Sadly, this is nothing like Puerto Seco excellence, things got progressively worse

The card machine was out of order.

Fried chicken lacked leg or thigh portions.

Fish was priced at an exorbitant $5,000 per serving.

As if that weren't enough, after purchasing drinks, we were forced to BUY ICE SEPARATELY, an outrageous demand.

It doesn't end there. Policies were nowhere to be found, not even on the menu. Ordering food and drinks became an ordeal. Want more food? Back to the cashier line. Need more ice? Line up again to purchase it and then show a ticket to the bartender. Unbelievable.

After HOURS OF DINING, imagine our shock when our kids were asked to pay $200 EACH TO WASH OFF with freshwater. Laughter followed, given the absurdity of charging patrons who had been dining there for hours.

The final straw came when our kids, after swimming a second time, were AGAIN CHARGED $200 EACH FOR A FRESHWATER wash.

The manager's rude response Was "You shouldn't have sent him back in the water" and the ensuing shouting match were unbelievable. She then ran to the shower and locked off the freshwater supply after we'd already paid.

What a disgrace!

We won't return, and we urge you to steer clear as well.

The subpar beach with oil-filled Sand and waters from nearby clutter of boats, along with below-average food and horrendous customer service, make it an unworthy destination. We've lost our loyalty over a mere $200. "Disaster Cove" might be the most fitting...

My family came on the 3rd of May. We were one of the first on the beach and decided to place a lunch order in advance for a specified time (12pm). The waitress was nice enough and took our order no problem. Three hours later when we had asked for lunch to be served, nothing. We asked and eventually one plate was brought out and we were told just a few moments for the others. 20+ mins later still nothing. We inquired with the waitress and she said that it would be coming but somehow they just noticed that they didn’t have most of what we ordered hours earlier so we just took whatever was the closest substitution to expedite things. A further 30 mins and nothing still, meanwhile everyone else, including those just arrived were getting food. We went and spoke to the manager of the restaurant who said apparently the waitress has to make the order and literally stand and wait for the food or we don’t get served? I find that an insane concept. The manager was also outright rude and disrespectful and even at times ignored or glared at us when we had the “audacity” to ask for the food we ordered 4 hours earlier. This is also bearing in mind we had ordered the food for a specific time because my elderly grandmother was with us and also, my mother is diabetic and if she does not eat in time, her blood sugar falls dangerously low, which has in the past lead to medical emergencies.

The beach itself was wonderful but that ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS set of interactions with the kitchen staff totally ruined this place and the experience. Whoever that manager is needs to either learn basic manners and decorum, be retrained from the ground up, or get out of customer service. I would have given zero stars, but the fact that the beach itself was nice pulled it up to the minimum one star.

Honestly, if you’re a local, just go somewhere else nearby like Ocho Rios Bay Beach. If you’re on a cruise and just stopping for a meal, find somewhere…anywhere else. This place will give Jamaica a bad name to tourists and is not representative of the Jamaican attitude, it’s just a couple of uncouth bad apples...

Okay experience at this venue bad, I would like to go details below. I

What I and my team experience at that venue was so not called, I will below

Cons Prejudice - I didn't like the fact that they treated locals anyway. Basically, we were told we can't be engaged in certain local activities such as football in a certain space or we aren't allowed or eligible for certain features of this venue. Only to see a tourist doing it with no complaint.

Bad management - the staff were very respectful but the manager was very unprofessional. As she told us a lot of nonsense things and what we are not eligible to do ver what the tourist is actually doing. Instead of speaking to the group of us she sent out the waitress's to deal with the situation Which caused which was another bad caused.

Proper shower area- I have no problem paying $100 jmd to bath but at least have a door. There was no door in the area and as females, we felt exposed since people we're freely walking around the back.

Parking- aside from the management team making a prejudice comment about where we shouldn't park. The parking lot and walkway to get to the beach needs to pave off. The terrain is really horrible

To conclude the cons, I really think they just need to see some of the reviews or at least ask the customer what they're experience was so they can adjust and be better as a venue.

Pro

Scenery- amazing scenery I must admit that the beach and the whole ecosystem was amazing. I took a lot of pics.

Sand- the sand felt great it wasn't harsh on the skin.

Family and kid-friendly- the shore is really padded so kids can go as far to a point without any serious harm

Water- water was amazing no lie

Food- food was alright, prices started from $600 and you got a good deal.

Waitress- there is one waitress that made us at least have a Lil faith in the employee team.

All and all the place can be worth the trip from Kingston if the employees sprout up a bit. Definitely...
