Clap’s Diner — Restaurant in Asahikawa

I feel compelled to write a review to share how much I liked this diner! I was having kind of a crummy day and was pretty exhausted by dinner time, and upon finding this lovely, warm and welcoming diner my spirits were immediately lifted. Nostalgic cartoons were playing on the TV (Tom and Jerry this time), and I ordered a hamburger with all the trimmings even though I'm usually kind of fussy about it. When it arrived the bun was toasted to perfection and I ate the whole thing. It was prepared with care and tasted delicious. My favourite burger joint in Asahikawa. Mostly because of the garlic fries which are cooked to perfection - crunchy, garlicky, and moreish. I would come here just for the garlic fries if the burgers weren't also perfection itself. The beefy patties are served on a toasted sesame bun with pickles and the right amount of sauce. I've only ever had the classic cheese burger but it's just too good! Good sized portions for ¥1000 or less. It's an American style diner serving burgers and chips. No English menu unfortunately but you can ask for the classics in English and I'm sure...
