Fantastic soup curry! There is no English menu, so it helps if you kinda know how it works before going.
Ordering is in 4 steps:
is protein, there's beef, pork, tofu, vegetables etc.
2 and 3 and quantity of rice and broth. For rice it's small medium large IIRC, and broth is regular or large. Large is free but we found regular to be plenty to drink haha.
4 is spice level from 1 to 10. 6 was a nice steady heat, I'd say you can go to at least 8 if you eat spicy regularly. You can also order more than 10.
Then you can add additional toppings if you want.
Went for beef medium/regular 6. If was absolutely fantastic, loved every bite of it. It comes with a lot of delicious vegetables, such as carrot, eggplant, lotus root, squash, an asparagus. There was a couple hard boiled quail eggs in each bowl too. I think the beef was rib, but that's a guess. I had two large chunks of tender braised beef.
Restaurant had parking and lots of seating, most tables feel quite private since you're in...
Read moreGreat place for Japanese soup curry :) The star of the dish is the local grown vegetables and RAMAI does give vegetables generously. You can also add more vegetables as toppings, where broccoli is recommended. (Fried is nice) If you’re a foreigner, the order here is simple: choose a protein (base); choose spicy level(level 1-10/ free or spicier); choose soup size (regular/large); choose toppings (optional, as the base set comes with lots of vegetables already) and choose rice size. Service is great!! Staff here can communicate with English. We waited about 30 mins during Thursday lunchtime without any reservation ( there were about 6-7 groups in...
Read moreThis Ramai curry is the best I've eved had. Local snowboard guide recommanded this plase, but I wasn't expected that much. However, it blowed me up. Basic soup curry is good enough. But additional toppings are highly recommanded. Fried broccoli, mushrooms toppings were wonderful. Also can select a soup topping between garlic and coconut milk. But you gotta choose coconut. I recommand a Pedas for spiciness level.(little bit hot)
Only one disappointment is there's no English menu. Excpet that, everything was...
