What a lovely find. Yama-san and his Belgian wife opened this place 3 months ago after living in Osaka for 25 years. He makes artisanal coffee, carefully measuring out the portions and making sure the temperature and timings are right to give you a perfect cuppa...One unhurried cup at a time. His mocha brought new life into me on a freezing winter night and his latte and hot chocolate were also superb according to my wife and sons. We walked in after 7pm and he entertained us even though he had a family party next door. (I must have looked real cold). Parking is free in the open space opposite his shop. Thanks for being so nice to us Yama-San even though you had a family dinner party to attend next door. God bless you and your family with the gift of making people smile and spreading happiness. Hope mum knows how much you love her. Merry Xmas.

One of the best surprise finds of Aso. Great coffee that is as unpretentious as its owner, Mr. Yama-san. For „1,000 we had our coffee and tea on our first morning. On our 2nd and 3rd morning, Yama-san cooked us a plate of off-the-menu breakfast for a very reasonable price. It was delicious! The coffee shop sits along the main street, ample parking right across. Ambience is 10/10, quiet with jazz beats playing in the background and a view of the world passing by. It opens 0800-2000 daily, but is closed on Mondays. Don’t miss this gem when you’re in Aso!

We were on our 10 days trip around Kyushu. We visited many coffee shops there and surprisingly found that this is one of the best coffee shop we were visit. The coffee was on point. We ordered hot late and hot drip coffee. There were several beans choices to choose. The owner tried to explain us how difference of each type bean. The owner was very nice. He even told us we can contact him via IG if we need any help during our trip. Really recommend if you’re traveling around Aso area. You will have a nice experience at the...
