Upon arrival, I felt a bit unsure about the parking situation. As it's a shared lot, it wasn't immediately clear where visitors to the cafe should park without feeling like they were encroaching on another business's space. Clearer signage or guidance here would be really helpful.
Once inside, we were warmly greeted by the owner, who promptly finished assisting another customer before quickly preparing a table for us. This efficiency and attentiveness were certainly positive first impressions. While waiting, I was captivated by the beautiful view outside and was eager to take it in from our table. However, I found the seats to be quite deep, which unfortunately meant I could only see the sky rather than the stunning contrast of the rice fields below. Perhaps this seating arrangement is intended to create a specific "chill out" atmosphere, but personally, I felt it detracted from the opportunity to fully appreciate the picturesque surroundings.
Our order was processed quickly, which was great. I only ordered a drink this time, but seeing the delicious-looking food in photos makes me wish I had tried something from the menu – it truly looks exceptional! The one element that significantly impacted my experience was the condition of the cups. While I don't expect brand-new glassware every time, the cups appeared quite old and worn, with visible cracks. For me, part of the cafe experience is the overall presentation and the feeling the owner wishes to convey, so receiving a drink in a cup that looked like this was a bit surprising and took away from the otherwise pleasant atmosphere.
Overall, if I were in the immediate area, I would likely consider popping in for a takeout order or to try some food. However, given the journey, I'm not sure I'll be making a special trip back in the...
Read moreChill out only for the name but not the atmosphere. There’s a small card asking customers to refrain from using computer, writing and doing anything that may take some time when it’s busy, but even though there were seats available my partner had to leave the cafe in the middle of a video call meeting because the clerk told us it was prohibited (even thought the notification says another thing). About the voice level, many people were talking on a regular to loud voice, a video call with headphones on is not louder than people talking. Ads, time wise what’s the difference if someone stays here looking through the window or using a cellphone for the same amount of time? If the limitation is time, then it’s meaningless to forbid such activities in the store (I mean, even writing?!). If I can only come in to literally drink the coffee and keep worried about what I can do or not, well, it’s not that much “chill out” coffee for me. Btw, some months before I tried to grab a take away coffee some minutes before last order and this same man clerk told me he couldn’t do it (even if it was before last order). Well, tried to give a chance but my final thoughts are that I’m not coming back and do not recommend if you want to have coffee with no...
Read moreHello from Singapore!
Was in dire need of good coffee while travelling in the countryside and found this gem. Forgot to ask the origin of the beans but I reckon it was from Honduras. Flavourful and delicious is my verdict!
A pity our group of 5 couldn't fit into the cafe but that should not deter anyone from visiting or taking away at least. The interior was indeed all about chilling out and looking into the vast fields.
Service by the owner was straightforward and as courteous as you would expect from almost anywhere in Japan.
Definitely on my list to visit again should I be around the...
