Makuhari Brewery — Restaurant in Chiba

The Craft brew craze has finally hit the shores of the land of the rising sun. This craft brewery is a bit inconveniently placed, but as the neighborhood around it expands, so will this breweries reach. The interior is warm and inviting and the community space connected to the brewery is a nice locale to sit and enjoy a beer and a community activity. The beers brewed in-house are alright, but compared to Asahi or Ibisu, they're of much higher quality and taste. The foreign beer lists tends to weigh heavily on high ABV content beers that are perfect for sipping, but not great for a night out binging with your boss. Six own-brewed CBs as well as a few domestic and US brands are served. They sell bottles also sold at a neaby supermarket. A US style brewery bar. Fine tasting and a good space overlooking an urban park, open air tables available. A little bit pricy. Distance from the station and staff are also a challenge. Update after the covid-19: The staff often lacks a welcoming attitude and is hesitant to admit their apparent mistakes. Additionally, the owner seems to prioritize their staff's interests over those of the customers and does not hide their personal feelings. On the bright side, the outdoor seating offers a comfortable view of a vast open-air park, but unfortunately, the craft beers...

Great people. The beers I had (6 or 7... okay don't judge) were all excellent. Food was solid, had a lunch of shrimp/chicken/salad and multiple snacks afterwards (again don't judge). Not sure who is giving this brewery less than 5 stars. Only reason I can think of is they didn't personally walk me to the metro station, as I was buzzed as all heck... this is a must visit if you are...
