Fukuchian honten — Restaurant in Fukuchiyama

okay rarely do i ever bother to rate a restaurant on google, but this place is amazing. 5 million stars. i think i'm gonna have dreams about it

i got their eponymous fukuchian ramen with kara-age set and tried all of their optional toppings (garlic, sesame, chives, vinegar, salt, spicy sesame, and chilli oil)

the regular chashu was good, but their special chashu just MELTS in your mouth. the kara-age was very different from hokkaido style zangi. reminded me of 탕수육 (tangsooyook) with a sweet/sour/spicy touch

so glad i found this by chance. i wish they'd expand to...

very good food! pork soup is very delicious. karage with ponzu sauce is a must try. (their karage won championship many times)

the "number 1" soup is very rich and savory, the "number 2" soup is very thick (similar like creamy pasta). both are must try, but you can't go wrong.

our server is very nice and kind. they also offered takeout service for the karage.
