[Visited in Dec 2020] The appearance was like a family restaurant. Even though it was before noon, the restaurant was filled with the customers. I think this was the third time I've been here, but it's always very popular and hot. The customers are mostly older people.
My wife ordered the medium-sized Filleted Pork Kats Set (160 grams, w/o tax 1,660 yen). Since Katsudon (pork cutlet bowl) was not available, I ordered the Toro Roast (230 grams, 1,970 yen) of the Tokusen Roast Katsu Set.
The plate of Katsu was too big. But the Katsu was even bigger than the plate. I took a piece of the cutlet in my mouth... it was thick, yet tender and juicy! It's the best! It was like a drink!! And yet, there was no bad smell or stringiness, so much so that you might wonder if it is processed meat. The batter was fine and thin. It was more crispy than fluffy.
I found a bottle of salt was placed on the table, so I tried it, but the amount of fat in the meat was too much, and it did not work well. If you want to eat it with salt, it would be better to bring your own.

Read moreGrumpy and rude staff who reacted negatively when our group of 8 arrived at 755pm (closed at 9pm). Suggest to owner and manager to amend the closing time if customers get rude and terrible service if they arrive 1 hour before closing.
Also, ordered 2 cold nihonshu and they came with ICE in it. Tasted like soju with lots of water and ice… have never tasted sake like this ever. What a rip-off. When the staff were told that there isn’t any taste, it was replaced but tasted the same.
