LIFT UP COFFEE Hakuba Goryu — Restaurant in Hakuba

Found this really nice Cafe in the main complex of Hakuba Goryu.

They got my attention with "from Melbourne" but I quickly found that it was coffee based on Melbourne style. Either way, though they only served espresso coffee drinks (plus the usual hot choc, etc) the flavour was less medicinal that the usual Japanese offerings, and the Brazil/Ethiopian blend had a nice sweetness as it cooled.

The best part of the Cafe was the great service by Maiko and Haruka. They were super friendly and made delicious coffee (what else do you need 😁👍). Would recommend it if you happen to be in the area. #specialtycoffee...

calibrating my 4 stars solely for the coffee & food! the coffee was great (chai was a tad diluted imo)

the apple cinnamon sandwich was the only snack available besides cookies, and I can’t take coffee on an empty stomach so ✨ sandwich ✨ it was, but alas it was a tad disappointing for 600 yen so sandwich is a hard pass for me.

it’s conveniently located by the ski lift coffee yes !! sandwich no :( [unless highly desperate, go for the cookies instead...
