Blé Doré — Restaurant in Hayama

We’ve live in Japan for more than 20 years, and have found some local gems that you shouldn’t miss.

Ble Doré is an amazing bakery that serves some of the best breads in all of Japan - and that is saying a lot!

The bakery offerings are baked on site daily. You can also now reserve a seat for their daily “all you can eat” brunch offering.

Literally everything is simply delicious. Local restaurants come here to buy their breads to serve at their restaurants.

Worth coming to as a destination (and we do drive here at least once a month).

Pro-Tip They have Swallows nests just inside the entry. The swallows return here every year, and raise their young. They’ve been here for at least 20 years - and the owners leave them...

Had a great special breakfast in Ble Dore bakery shop in Hayama. They do a 60min “all you can eat” where they keep filling up your bread basket with wonderful fresh out of the oven treats. Regular bread, sweet and savory too. Their items were so delicious. One of the best croissants I’ve ever had in my life. This experience seems to be daily and we went in a saturday, arrived there at 0930am, put our name on the list (they dont take phone reservations) and waited for about 30min to get a table. Blé Doré is a bakery and cafe shop in Hayama - serving a morning and lunch menu. We tried the lunch menu…chicken & avocado on focaccia bread with zucchini soup & French baguette and finally a small dessert of tiramisu with coffee. The bread was superb and everything was freshly prepared. The bakery part looked delicious as well. They have about six parking spaces in front of the store. We’ll definitely come back...
