I love the base. It’s probably the best lounge restaurant closest to isshiki beach. The food is tasty and healthy (Japanese/Asian fusion with some western options). And they sell some locally-made gelato and drinks.The staff and owner are friendly. The interior decor and seating are cool. You can even Bluetooth your music to the in-house speaker and play it in the restaurant. Plus there’s an indoors shop to buy goods and wear, opportunities to rent equipment, and there’s outdoor seating both for smokers and non-smokers. It’s conveniently located less than 5 mins. walk to the beach behind the emperor’s summerhouse. Read moreReally wanted to try this place but after waiting for more than an hour we decided to go somewhere else.
We, party of 4, got there early and was the 3rd in line for a table but for some reason never got seated. The restaurant had limited seating and most tables were for parties of two. There was one big table that’s capable of seating 10 but they sat a family of 4 and 2 parties of 2 instead, which was very perplexing to us.
After waiting for more than an hour we were told ordering bento to go would be another hour while waiting for a seat would be “a little less”…. We left after.

During lunchtime, we ordered the dessert set, but we had to remind them twice and ended up waiting for more than 40 minutes.
I recommend ordering hot black tea as it is quite nice. And if you don't mind the wait, the dessert was also good.
