A nice, relaxed, unfussy museum overlooking the sea. I saw the commemorative exhibit of Tetsugoro Yorozu, a painter active in the first decades of the 20th century and who died relatively young. It suffered a bit from over-completeness, but was not crowded at all even on a holiday weekend. The bus, however was another story. It's just 15-20 minutes on bus 12 from Zushi Station, but in prime beachgoing season both the bus and narrow seaside road are packed -- I mean, uncomfortably pressed up against strangers for 30 minutes packed. They had a Francis Bacon show when I visited, the main collection has a lot of William Blake etchings that I've never seen before. The view is amazing! There is a path that goes to a viewery to look at the sea. I stopped by their cafe and had a beer and fried potatoes. They have an osusume of seafood curry for 2000 yen but it had meat in the dashi.
