While we like the atmosphere of this Starbucks, I was verbally accosted here by another customer who screamed at me loudly and kept harassing me, using the word “gaijen” for foreigner. The staff chose to ignore him and would not address his behavior or call the police with the idea that it was “better to ignore the behavior.” They allowed him to stay and peacefully enjoy his coffee while his young son and wife watched him berate me. For the many years we have been coming here we always find the inner staff to be pleasant and attentive. Recently we stopped by while the parking lot was full and decided to wait, stopped on the side of the street, for a spot to open.
