Currently, only individuals or one group of customers are allowed in at a time. The shopkeeper was very friendly and provided tentative customer service.
All the bakes looked really tantalizing, so it was difficult to choose! But in the end, I got a red bean bun, olive and tomato focaccia, olive bread, and a "hard" sandwich loaf.
The texture of the breads were pillowy light for natural yeast breads, had a pleasing chewy bite to them, and were almost unsettlingly moist. The baker really has the fermentation and gluten development processes down pat. However, flavor-wise, they lacked the yeasty flavor that I like in bread. The olives had a slightly bitter taste to them, and the red bean filling could have done with a tad more sweetness.
Basically, amazing texture, but needs a little more work in the flavor department. However, I'll be back to try the other breads, I've my sights set on...
