Today I went for the first time and the waitress who attended me was very kind, with a simple Japanese she answered my questions about the food; As I am Muslim I told her that I can't have anything with alcohol or meat (not halal). She took my order and promptly returned, taking the time to check the ingredients of what I ordered, and asked me if I could have something with mirin, to which I said no, then, with the list of ingredients for each dish, she told me which one I could choose without any problem, I was delighted to change my order, but she apologized. She surprised me that she was so careful with my order, I forgot to mention the mirin, but it made me happy and relieved that attention. Therefore, what stood out was the service, followed by a beautiful view and tasty food, at an affordable price. It is worth mentioning that when paying I told the cashier that I wanted to thank my waitress for the wonderful attention, the cashier also surprised me because she was also friendly and speaks english! My waitress was on her break, but I told the cashier all of the above and asked her to pass on my thanks. I...
Read moreI LOVE THIS PLACE !! It’s a perfect day trip from Tokyo. You can take the train to Koma station, go hike the nearby mountain and come down to have a wonderful healthy vegetarian meal at Alishan Cafe. Honestly, I would call it vegetarian heaven ! The food was amazing. I had the cheese hotdog set, the sausage is vegan and the pumpkin soup was so delicious!! They also have a store that sells so many healthy food products including vegan meat, organic peanut butter, lots of different nuts etc. It’s located next to a river and you can go play in the river after/before eating as well. I saw kids jumping off the bridge into the river (it was pretty shallow). Unfortunately they don’t except credit cards or e-payments yet so be sure to carry a lot of cash ! I wanted to buy some stuff from the store but couldn’t because I didn’t have much...
Read moreI'm not a vegan and I don't care particularly whether my food is organic or not but I have to give this place 5 stars as a restaurant in general. It wasn't canned, artificial tasting or overly salty. It's not my favorite dish but I have to be fair and give it 5 stars. My friends also ordered the vegan curry and pizza. They came out...
