French cuisine isn't in my top 5 favorites, but after our visit to this gem, I'll have to rethink my favorites. This place was near our Airbnb so we visited for lunch. We dropped in and to our surprise (it being Wednesday afternoon around 12:30), this 24-seat place was full. We didn't have reservations but fortunately a table soon opened up and we were seated. I have to say, this was an amazing experience. The staff were all exceptional, and we even had a chance to chat with the chef who took the time from tending to the busy lunch crowd to get us a table and explain what was on the menu.
It is a set menu for lunch, with a choice between a chicken or fish entrée, plus a choice of dessert. I went with the chicken and my wife chose the fish. It includes four courses: appetizer, main-course, amuse-bouche (the course between the main-course and the dessert), and dessert (plus coffee or tea, and plenty of bread). From appetizer to dessert, everything was amazing! The red wine sauce on my chicken was exceptional and was perfect for dipping the bread. For dessert I had the savarin au baguette sauce framboises. I love raspberries and this was unbelievably good. Maybe on the sweet side, but I have a sweet tooth so I thought it was amazing.
The presentation of each course was exquisite, like artwork. Each piece, meticulously designed. The appetizer was a palette of colors, flavors, and textures.
The service was outstanding. Staff were super attentive and helped to make this lunch experience (for it was an experience) one of the best we've ever had.

土曜日12時頃、突発で動いたので予約無しで訪問。

コースは前菜+パン⇨メイン⇨デザート+飲み物が付きます。
前菜 ☑︎ 彩々な野菜を添えたスモークサーモンとタラコのサラダ
オクラ、紅芯大根、ヤングコーン、グリーンピース、たまご、サーモンとタラコが盛られています。左上のスペースはバルサミコとバジルソースがアートのように描かれていて、右下にはパプリカソース。 野菜はフレッシュで上品な味付けなので、各種ソースにつけて酸味や甘味などを補填しながら楽しみます。
バケットはお代わりできます。 トマト練り込んだパンや黒胡椒のパン 黒胡麻のパンなど、お代わり毎に内容が変わって飽きません。
☑︎ メイン メヌケのポワレ 深海魚のメヌケはポワレされてふっくらホクホク!パサつきなくジューシーな味わい。 炒めたキャベツにしめじ、ブロッコリー、薄切りのベーコン、バジルが絡んで美味しい。 アンチョビ、ニンニク、オリーブなどで作られたタプナードソースが凝縮された磯の塩味と酸味のアクセント。
