Great view of the Kurushima Kaikyo Bridge and of the many tankers and container ships that make their way through the strait - although the view from the window-side tables is a little obscured by another see-through barrier which is a shame. The food is fairly standard western fare served in reasonable stylish surroundings. Vegetation options are very limited (pizza and salad on my most recent visit) and there are no vegan options. It is a nice place to grab breakfast if getting an early start on the Shimanami Kaido from the Imabari side.

The Kaze no restaurant 風のレストラン is located at the Imabari end of the Kurushima Kaikyō 3rd Bridge 来島海峡第三大橋 along the main Shimanami Kaido during my last visit of the cycling park on 22-25 Nov 23. The restaurant has amazing Seaview from a high point. Both my son and me like the services and foods of the restaurant. Plentiful parking spaces are available for cars and bikes outside the restaurant. It is indeed a very good and convenient drop-by point when vistiing Shimanami Kaido. Reservation of table is available in Google Map.

Amazing cafe with fast and friendly service, delicious food, and stunning views. We enjoyed a pizza, local curry and a salad, and they were all delicious (and large servings!). We initially felt underdressed in cycling gear, but were made to feel very welcome.

流れる音楽、雰囲気は都会のレストランにひけをとらない。夕食は、海賊鍋をお薦め。(要予約？)アルコール類も揃ってる。来島海峡大橋の夜景がきれいに見えて、雰囲気がいい。ただ、朝食はダメダメです。これでは、東京のビジホの朝食の方がまだいい。コロナのせいらしいですが、せっかく今治まできたのだから、焼き魚くらいは出してもらわないと！これから１日走るのに、エネルギーが足りない！ しまなみ海道の橋はライトアップしてませんが、存在を示す点滅灯と海面に映る月の姿だけでも、雰囲気は抜群です。地元の方もわざわざ食事だけにくるようで、地道にファンを増やしているのが、わかります。あとは、素っ気ない朝食だけが課題だと思います。 2023年12月リピ。海賊鍋も食べ飽きて、アラカルトで。初めてのピッツァ、ビスマルクは卵が塩からさを絶妙に緩和し美味しい。ステーキも温野菜も美味しく、肉の焼き加減もよく、付いているステーキソースも美味しさを際立ててくれます。松山鳥のパエリアは鶏肉の味を楽しめながら、海の幸で味付けしており、満足でした。最後にパンナコッタ、ケーキをいただき、美味しいコーヒーで〆と大満足な時間でした。日曜日の夜なのに結構なお客が入っておられ、地元での人気がわかります。今回で確信したのですが、こちらのシェフは地元の素材を元にいろんな味を追及し、何もか美味しく作られるのですが、余りに手際がよくあっという間に提供されるので、お客は会話に熱中するのではなく、早く次のディッシュが出される用意をすべきです。朝食で焼き魚定食が提供されました。なんと朝から鯛めしです。味噌汁も粕汁が入っていて美味しい。もう完璧です！☆は5に！

観光旅行でご当地の美味しいものを求めて。 せっかくならば景色のいいお店はないかと探して見つけました。『サンライズ糸山』という宿泊施設にあるレストランで、古そうな建物外観とは全くイメージが違い、お洒落で上品な雰囲気でした。来島海峡を一望できる素晴らしいロケーションです。テラス席はありませんでした。カウンター席あり。 ◎松山どりのパエリア(1,550円) ◎ミニサラダと食後のドリンク(300円) ◎塩ソフトクリームのミニパフェ(Instagram投稿かアンケートに答えて無料) 本格的なパエリアでびっくり。味付けも美味しく、具材もたくさんでパエリア鍋にちょっと焦げ目ができているところも最高。本当に美味しかったです。 アンケートに答えて無料でデザートまでいただきました!!これもとっても美味しかったです。 店内は広々として海の見える景色はもちろん素晴らしく、接客も式場ホテルっぽい丁寧さ。 褒め言葉しか出てこないお店でした。おすすめです。 無料駐車場も広い敷地内に完備です。
