丼どん亭 — Restaurant in Ise

I have mixed feeling with this restaurant. I had lunch at this restaurant with my wife on Sep 30, 2023. The food was fantastic, I absolutely love the gyudon, and the udon was surprisingly delicious even I’m not a fan of udon. The service was fine at first. However, as we’re about to finish the gyudon, I spotted a hair in my wife’s bowl. We didn’t want to make a scene, so we stopped eating,paid our bill first, then politely told the owner about the hair (in Japanese). The first interaction we had with one of the owners was when we got off the bus with 2 bottles in our hands and she took them from us, without trying to lure us in the restaurant. The food on the advertiser posters looked delicious and we promised to come back. The Ise udon was really good, we really enjoyed it. The sauce went really well with the udon. The eel skewers were great as well! The beef was really tasty too! They served us some mugicha, which we never heard of, and we couldn’t stop drinking it! 100% would recommend...

Very good beef. Grilling skill was perfect. Good crust while staying medium rare. We tried the 松阪 beef don, Gyudon, Udon and the beef yakitori. All were very nice, especially the premium beef don and beef yakitori. I ordered beer too and it came in a nice frosted mug. The beef was draft beer from Kirin. The owner actually has a small beer machine for draft beer.
