手こね茶屋内宮店 (Japanese Restaurant in Ancient Street)

With literally hundreds of food places alone the main Street it was very difficult to find somewhere to eat lunch until we came across this place, sorry the name is in Japanese we couldn't get an English version (just copy and paste the name into maps and you will find it).

It caught our eye due to the menu showing some sashami tuna which looked really delicious so we entered up the stairs to the 1st floor and were greeted by probably the owner as he was busy shouting orders and running around making sure everyone was satisfied.

We were in the queue for a table and waited patiently for one which took 5 mins, then we ordered the sashami tune set and a raw egg Udon. The wait wasn't long before we received our food piping hot and ready to be devoured it which didn't take long as it was delicious. The tuna sashami was just oozing with flavour and we couldn't stop eating it, fully recommended.

Staff were wonderful and charming helping us choose our meal showing us a picture on the wall of a tuna as we were unsure if the meat was tuna or beef. Wonderful.

Menu is in Japanese but you have pictures to help you out choosing your meal so don't worry and the owner can help you.

Recommendations Fully recommended and well l worth eating the local specialty. Seating with tables or traditional Japanese seating.

Top tip, try the tuna and let it melt in your mouth.

伊勢うどんの中でここが一番おいしい！

伊勢神宮にお参りして、帰りに伊勢うどんを食べておかげ横丁で食べ歩きして、帰るというこの至極のルーティーンの中リピ確定の伊勢うどん屋さんを見つけました！ 醤油の味が他のお店と格別に違う感じで汁まで飲み干すほどおいし伊勢うどんでした。 スタンダードな伊勢うどんも美味しいですが、とろろ伊勢うどんの方が美味しかったです。 手こね寿司も＋200円でマグロに変更でき、美味しかったです。

きつねうどんのセットは、うどんが不揃いで素晴らしかったです！ 手こね寿司をウニ丼に変更しましたが、そんなにウニを感じられず、、 娘が頼んでた手こね寿司を少し貰いましたが、私は次行ったら必ず手こね寿司を頼みます。 そのくらい手こね寿司美味しかったです。 キッズセットは、小1の息子がうどんを頼んでいましたが、大人と同じ器に同じ量のうどんで食べ切れていませんでした。 そのくらい色々な物がボリュームあって、大満足でした。

ただ食事スペースは2階にあるので、階段を登るのがしんどい人には厳しいかな。
