Hand Drip Marifu Coffee — Restaurant in Iwakuni

This is a must visit for anyone with a need for delicious coffee and a tasty snack. They roast their own coffee beans in the store and they end up with a deliciously smooth brew of black gold. The color and tone of the coffee allows for such a wonderful aroma and taste. I wish I would have taken a photo of the black coffee before I added the creamer. The quality of their creamer is also very high and adds a wonderful addition to an already delicious coffee. Several of my friends drink it black and love it, I’m not that strong. Lol

They have a variety of waffles, I chose the mixed berry one and it came with strawberries, cherries, raspberries, local whipped cream and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The waffle by itself was delicious and the addition of the other ingredients just put it to over the top good.

The staff is wonderfully friendly and helpful. They have ample parking and the restaurant is spotless. The small details of their branded mugs and the unique utensils are a great touch.

We came in to have sweet and coffee. The ambience is warm and comfortable. We got in at 7 pm and though the cafe is opened till 9 pm they stopped serving food. We could only order drinks and some dessert. They also have a weird policy, everyone in the restaurant have to order, probably a Japanese thing. Anyways, we ended up ordering cafe late and cheese cake. The coffee was alright, it didnt feel like a special blend but strong enough than your typical Japanese cafe latte. The cheese cake was half the portion of a regular cheese cake slice and they served it with frozen berries😒 and cream. I didnt like the texture and the taste. This is a terrific little Cafe. Very cozy and comfortable with a great feel to it, the coffee was top notch and brewed or crafted to order as the drink required. I'm still chewing on the cinnamon stick that came with my cappuccino. The food simple as one would expect from a Cafe but non the less delicious, it all appears to be prepared to order, so expect a slight wait for your meal however, it is worth it. The pork cutlet curry was very good, especially with the chunks of beef fat stewed in the curry to add a bit of richness.
