If you're in the mood for a warm, down-to-earth meal that has a homely feel, this place is a must-visit. The vibe here is incredibly relaxed — like you're eating in a friend's living room with the baseball game softly playing in the background.

We showed up a little early (around 6:30-ish) and decided to kill time by popping next door to the bottle shop for a quick beer.

The Soy Sauce Char Siu Ramen was a highlight with the broth packed full of flavour. We also tried the Kimchi Fried Rice and Gyoza's, which were the perfect accompaniment — crispy, juicy, and full of that home-cooked goodness.

The incredibly friendly and welcoming owners made us feel like regulars from the first moment, and their genuine hospitality really added to the whole experience.

All this deliciousness, including drinks, starters, sides, and mains for TWO people, came in at an absolute bargin. Perfect for a cheap, satisfying meal that doesn’t skimp on quality or warmth.

Gyoza and Yakisoba are amazibg quality and cooked to perfection. The Gyoza has that crisp bottom with juicy pork and cabbage mix. The yakisoba was a lot of volume with lots of meat, good local food to eat. I got sausages too, they were the best because if you know what Schau Essen is, then you know it'll be good.
