フレッシュコーヒー ナンバーワン — Restaurant in Kashiwazaki

柏崎駅北の商店街沿いにあり、1階は焙煎されたコーヒー豆の販売、2階がカフェになっています。店自体が小さく、1階のコーヒー豆の販売スペースは、人が3～4人も居れば窮屈に感じてしまうくらいの広さしかありません。さらに2階のカフェへの昇降は階段のみで、その階段も、人がすれ違えるのがやっとといった狭さです。車椅子等の障碍を持つ方や大きな荷物を持つ方の利用はお勧めできません。 2階のカフェも、（時間帯に依るかもしれませんが）近隣住民の社交場として利用されており、旅行者が利用すると少し場違いな雰囲気を感じてしまうかもしれません。 それでも、1階のコーヒー豆の売店のスタッフ、2階のカフェのマスターは、どの客も分け隔てなく親切で丁寧に接客してくれます。コーヒー専門の店であるため、用意されているコーヒー豆の種類も豊富で、必要に応じてどこから取り寄せ、どんな味がするのかを説明してくれます。比較的あっさりめの味わいのコーヒーは少ないですが、とても香り豊かでコクのあるコーヒーを楽しむことが出来ます。

Located along the shopping street north of Kashiwazaki Station, the first floor sells roasted coffee beans and the second floor is a cafe. The shop itself is small, and the space for selling coffee beans on the first floor is so small that three or four people would feel cramped. The only access to the second-floor cafe is by stairs, which are so narrow that people can barely pass each other. It is not recommended for people with disabilities such as wheelchairs or people carrying large luggage. The cafe on the second floor is also used (depending on the time of day) as a social gathering place for local residents, and tourists may feel a little out of place. Even so, the staff at the coffee bean stand on the first floor and the café master on the second floor are friendly and courteous to all customers. Since the store specializes in coffee, they have a wide variety of coffee beans available, and if necessary, they will explain where they get them from and what they taste like.
