Churrasco＆BeerRestaurant ALEGRIA mizonokuchi — Restaurant in Kawasaki

March 7, 2025. I used to recommend this place to my friends, went here about 10 times in the past. Not anymore. TLDR: Used to be amazing, Now pretty bad due to most of the staff except for 1 guy.

The Food: The salad used to be amazing. from the types of vegetables on it to the guacamole that was served with it, it was perfect. I don't usually like salad but the old salad they had made me avail of the eat-all-you can salad! Now, they have this sad, sloppy, badly made salad that's both dry and wet at the same time. you actually lose your appetite in general for eating it. they said it was designed for ladies in mind(女性向け), but the lady at my table absolutely hated it.

The meat quality in general is still good but recently, the staff cut it in such a bad and tattered way(attached photo) that it's difficult to enjoy the full flavor of the meat. They are also strangely stingy about giving out certain cuts of meat. the Picanha(イチボ), my favorite, in particular is the most difficult to get.

The Staff: Shout out to 小山さん, AMAZING AND GREAT STAFF. Really nice guy who knows how to serve and properly cut and prep the meat! the rest of this part of the review won't be about him.

When i first started coming here the staff were stellar. really friendly, delivered food to the table at a timely and good manner, really observant of our needs. Now, it sometimes feels like we're actively being ignored for most of the night. the food service rotation has also been horrible. in the 1st hour that we arrived there we were offered the sausage(x3), chicken(x3 mix between spicy and herb), and various pork dishes about 6 times in total but the pepper steak and Picanha NOT EVEN ONCE! We had seen those meats be served to other tables multiple times, we assumed that our turn was coming and didn't want to bother the staff. We had to actively tell them that we wanted it for it to be even brought to our table. by then, we had already eaten other things that we couldn't really enjoy the meats that we had wanted anymore.

Recommendation: I have seen a steady decline in service over the past year. to the manager/owner reading this, please give 小山さん a raise and seriously observe how the rest your staff are treating your customers. I understand that customer service is difficult work and we are all human, we all make mistakes. But please understand that I also worked hard for my money and am paying for this experience that I used to love and simply want to be respected and treated as a...

My friends and I made a reservation in this restaurant to celebrate a birthday party! The staffs were poorly accommodating and they placed us outside and it was very cold. There was even no heater. The lady staff was nice and the young new staff who served us pineapple was very friendly while the other senior staffs were very mean and not even smiling. The foods were fine and we like most of the grilled meet. The drinking glasses were very dirty full of smudges. The furniture looks very old and the plate mats were very dirty and old. They didn't even put a cushion on our seats and were very hard. The staffs even gave us the wrong bill. My friends and I were very upset and they never even apologized. This restaurant is not recommendable...
