Great cafe encouraging customers to help cleanup the beach - the first initiative like this I've seen in Japan. Wonderful 💓 Order ahead for vegan meals and even takeout bento in reusable container if you ask. Love the positive can do entrepreneur spirit here if a young team that took over this old abandoned Ryokan building and bring people back to the beach (and improving it for everyone through their cleanup initiative) 😍👍⛱️ The vegan bento for 1000 yen in a reusable Tupperware filled with handmade English muffins, fresh salad and fruit as well as ratatouille over mashed potatoes. Light and delicious

Cozy place with a very nice view of the seaside befitting its name. The food there is also quite good and I ordered an oyster dish which was currently in season. The oysters were big and fresh, and they were prepared just right with appropriate seasonings. However, do be careful if you are driving there because the road leading up to it is pretty narrow and booking in advance is recommended as it can get crowded during lunch hour.

Spectacular little cafe right on the beachside ocean. Fantastic view of Inland Sea. Delicious Kaigun curry and tasty coffee. Within minutes walk of natural hot spring, swimming/camping beach, mountain trail access. Staff also speak English. They also have Ryokan you can stay overnight at. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

ホテル1階に設けられているおしゃれな喫茶店。駐車場🐜。 目前に青い海🐜。海に臨むテラス席🐜。コクと味に深みのある水出しアイスコーヒーはなかなかの代物じゃ。窓越しに青い海を眺めながらコーヒーの芳香を味わうぜいたくなひと時。ナイスですね。 海自の護衛艦「いなずま」カレーも看板商品の一つ。毎年１０月ころに催される呉海自カレーフェスタにも出店されている。これががシンプルで美味。大き目のニンジン、じゃがいもがごろごろカレーの海にぷかぷか。強襲揚陸艦からあげ丸がライス島に何隻か接舷しているぞ。装甲を観測するに、カラッ、サクッとあがっておるではないか。中身のやわらかさとの対比が絶妙で実によかばい。「いなずま」ルーもスタンダードながらも味わい深し。 さて、斯くもおいしい護衛艦いなずまは、海自艦としては、２代目、旧帝国海軍の駆逐艦からは４代目なのだ。「いなずま」は、２０００年３月１５日に就役。２０１８年７月、西日本豪雨災害の際は、母港の呉も被害を受けたが、艦内の入浴施設を被災者に開放するとともに、給水支援活動に精進。ぱちぱち。 ちなみに、帝国海軍２代目の吹雪型駆逐艦電（いなずま）は、撃沈した英国重巡洋艦エクセター、駆逐艦エンカウンターの水兵４２２人を救助した。敵潜水艦がうろうろ徘徊する海域での救助活動は雷撃撃沈される可能性大であったがあっぱれじゃね。やっぱり、おいしいものは一味ちがうね。

瀬戸内海の島々を遠方に、透明度の高い海水の浜辺に面した最高のロケーションです。 店内の窓際の席は海に向いていて、瀬戸内海の眺望とコーヒーや食事を一緒に楽しめ、この上無い贅沢な時間を過ごせます。 他のお店でランチを食べてしまったので、クランペット(人気メニューのイギリス生まれのパンケーキ)とコーヒーをお店の外の席でいただきました。クランペットは砂糖を使っていないとのことで甘くなく、一緒に食べたバターやあんこ(これも甘さ控えめ)の味を邪魔せず、大人のスイーツでした。 店長(オーナー)は福岡出身で、桂浜を気に入って、お店を始めたようです。お店だけでなく、宿泊できる桂ヶ浜莊も経営されてます。 店長に勧められて、火山の展望台に行ってみたのですが、これがまた360°遮るもののない瀬戸内海の海・島々の風景が眺められる絶景ポイントで、ランチ・ティータイムの後に行って見るべきです。歩いて登る所と思ってましたが、車で山頂近くまで上がれるので、安心です。

瀬戸内の旅の途中に立ち寄ったseaside cafe ALPHA。シーサイド桂ヶ浜荘の中にあり、目の前に海を見渡せる絶景のカフェ。サイフォンで入れるスペシャルな珈琲やワンプレートランチ、カキフライ、焼きカレーなども味わえます。アンティークな家具やブックラウンジの雰囲気がよく、レトロでお洒落な店内は居心地が良いです。倉橋まで足を伸ばしましたが、旅の途中でゆっくりできました！ 個人的には、焼きカレーがこんがりチーズと玉子を混ぜて食べたのですが、最高でした。 またゆっくり訪れたいカフェです！ご馳走様でした。
