PORTA ROSSA — Restaurant in Kurume

There's quite a story leading up to my visit to this place. I had a senior acquaintance I'd known for about four years, but due to COVID-19, we'd never met in person. We interacted on social media, but I had always wanted to meet face to face. I happened to be in Fukuoka for something else and had just one day off, which also happened to be the day before I was returning to my home country.

Feeling the urgency of 'if we don't meet now, who knows when we'll get another chance,' I reached out to my senior. That's when we decided to meet at this Italian restaurant. To ease the nerves, I started with some beer and wine. They served the dishes at the perfect moments to complement our drinks. It felt like they were closely observing our dining pace, and we never felt rushed. Their treatment of me, a foreigner, was exceptional, and I'd highly recommend it to tourists too. Of course, be sure to make a reservation.

I stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant one late morning & I was very fortunate. Immediately impressed upon entering the cute restaurant. The chef spent some time in Italy 🇮🇹 studying & cooking Italian food. It is superbly evident in his delicious cooking. His friendly & sweet wife serves delicious food. Everything here is so fresh & clean. No salt is added. I have since returned with a colleague, and we both love it here. If you ever visit Kurume, I highly suggest stopping by. 内訳はサラダ、スープ、パン、パスタ、デザート、コーヒー。

サラダは平皿一杯で色々な葉物野菜が入っていて緑鮮やか。 しかもキッシュ付き。 スープはそら豆のポタージュ。 メインはパプリカ、トマト、玉ネギのペペロンチーノ。 パスタが硬茹でで、ラーメンで言うところの硬麺。 デザートはココナッツアイス。 珈琲も美味しい。

イージーな料理は一つもなく、どれも美味しい。 これで1,000円＋税は相当コスパ良いですよ。
