日本料理天ぷらあい田 — Restaurant in Kushiro

Amazing tempura course dinner! We absolutely loved it. I have been to Japan on holidays already 8 times and I always try to eat higher end tempura at least once per trip. Last time in December 2023 was a Michelin star restaurant in Tokyo, 5 times more expensive than this one. This restaurant was just as good to be honest. Well done to the chef!

The restaurant is inside a house in a residential neighborhood of Kushiro. Needless to say, they don't see many foreigners. We booked via one of our hotels during the trip and the chef was a bit stressed out (he doesn't speak English), but accepted to welcome us.

If you are in Kushiro and crave good tempura, try to book this place via your hotel. You won't regret it. He accepts card. Maximum 8 seats. No waitress or staff - I assume the owner lives in the house and he cooks downstairs.

予約で時間と席は取ったものの、料理の説明は予約時にも訪問時にも全くなく、無言で始まった。いやはやびっくり。 うちは１コースのみです等の説明が有っても良いと思います。てっきり２〜３コースの選択肢があると思ってました。 あまりにもコミュニケーション不足過ぎる。
