King God Burger — Restaurant in Maebashi

King God burger is the best known Gunma gourmet burger shop. In the past it was the best in the prefecture and a contender for one of the best in Kanto. These days there are many more quality options around Gunma but that doesn’t take away from how good King God still is.

The new branch at the new Maebashi Akagi roadside oasis is as good as the original store taste wise. Prices are expensive but again. As long as one doesn’t make any value comparisons to Burgers outside Japan. You won’t be disappointed with the price for the excellent quality, the location makes it easier to get to especially by car. All in all. It’s a solid meal. If you’re in the area. Definitely...

Best place ever.

The parking can be tricky, but I’m not docking a star for that. Parking should not deter anyone from eating here. The server was very helpful with the parking. She spoke English very well. She was very friendly and patient with us. My 8-year old got a cheeseburger with a nugget/fries combo. I got a salad and a King God burger. It looks intimidating, but it’s eatable. The food takes a little time, but it’s worth the wait. All good things come to those that wait.

This was such a fun burger! It was very Japanese-style because it was served with an egg and some sort of curry sauce. Also, the french fries were lovely, and the portion size was great too. Some hamburger places will give you only a handful of fries, but they are much better with portion size here.
