Xiang Xiang Ramen — Restaurant in Matsudo

Came to visit my friend in 北小金, stayed for two days. We happened to walk past IIDA Super Market and saw this little shop called 香香. This is a Chinese restaurant, we were a bit hungry and thought give it a go, although we didn’t intend to eat in. We ordered Beef Noodle Soup, Dandan noodle and a few beers. The thing I like the most about this restaurant is the strong Chinese culture. We came in a bit late, so the owner had a chance to stay back with us for a couple of drinks, then I understood he was a famous painter back in China. 5 star Gyoza! 5 star black vinegar SUBUTA! That was some of the best yakigyoza and subuta I have had! The restaurant reminds me of a shanghai noodle shop with its small but simple interior with flowers and decor. The menu items are mostly chinese dishes more than ramen, although I am not sure if there are ramen sets, the chinese dishes can come with soup and rice (refillable). The tantanmen was good with the use of an herb i only taste in real chinese dishes, but the gyoza and subuta is what pushed my 4 star to a 5 five star, and i suggest you try. JR北小金駅南口から徒歩4分ほどの"香香(シャンシャン)ラーメン"は2018年2月9日オープンした中華居酒屋。

休日の17時頃伺うと、パンダがラーメンを持ったイラストが描かれた看板が印象的。入口の右側に置かれたおすすめ黒板には｢鹿のキノコと細切り肉炒め980円・鹿のキノコサクサク揚げ680円・とり鍋1,080円・海老ワンタン麺950円・ポテトフライ580円・唐揚げ680円｣。鹿の料理があるって珍しい。

ドアを開けると20席～程のテーブル席に先客なし。メニューを見ると中瓶ビールは700円で1ml1.4円ほど。沢山飲むなら焼酎ボトル(2,500円～)作戦を敢行した方が良いだろう。ワインボトルが(2,900円～)あるのは中華料理店としては面白い。鹿肉と赤ワイン合わせるとか～。
