母と箕面の滝へ散策に行った帰りに寄りました。予約無しでしたが、タイミングよく入れ、さらに窓際の特等席に通して頂き、とても嬉しく思いました。ところが… 少し寒い日だったので、暖かい鯛めしが食べれると期待した「鯛めしランチ」でしたが、出てきた物は、冷たい「卵がけご飯」でした。関西だとどうしても「鯛めし」と言えば、鯛が炊き込まれた暖かいご飯を想像してしまいます。表の写真に、卵の写真はあったけれど、まさか、卵がけご飯とは想像もしませんでした。例えばこれが、卵をかけた上に鯛を乗せて、あっつ熱のだし汁をかけて食べる…というものならまだ話しは分かりますが、そうものではなく… 冷たいだし汁の中に、冷たい溶き卵と冷たい鯛の細切り、冷たいワカメを入れて混ぜ合わせ、おひつに入れられて運ばれてきた、すでに温かくないご飯の上にかけるので、何もかも冷たい「卵がけご飯」を食べることになりました。普通の卵かけご飯でも、基本はホカホカのご飯の上にかけるものですからね。副菜の厚揚げのみ暖かめではあったけれど、それに乗っている味噌だれは冷たい、煮こごりも冷たい、ローストビーフ(？)ももちろん冷たい…さらに、鯛のお刺身は、固くて老年の母には噛みきれず…。冷たい風がふく季節に、暖かい物は、インスタントの小さい豆腐が入ったお吸い物とお茶だけ。お味そのものは、美味しい物もありましたが、「鯛めし」と言う名の、ただただ冷たい卵がけご飯に、ガッカリしました。ランチはその「鯛めし」セットのみであることも、入店時に説明すらありませんでした。評価が高く、楽しみにして行っただけに、結果はとても残念でした。窓際だったので、外の景色を眺めながらの食事で、雰囲気はとても良かったですが、ただただ、暖かい物を食べたかったです。窓際でなければ、テーブルとテーブルも近く、ゆっくり食事を楽しめる雰囲気ではないと思うので、行きたい方は、窓際の席を予約されると良いと思います。他のランチは美味しいのかもしれませんが、「鯛ご飯」と言う名の冷たい「卵がけご飯」は、肌寒い日には2500円出す価値があるとは思えません。

A wonderful, kyoto style Japanese meal. The food is traditional Japanese, flavors are light and delicate, variety of small dishes yet not too much of anything so you end up feeling satisfied but not overly full. The place is really nice, recommended if you want a Japanese lunch.

Fantastic set meal. They only have one kind so you don’t have to order when you enter; you’re simply seated and served your meal. It’s a popular restaurant so you’re likely to queue, but the wait isn’t too long if you’re dining solo or as a couple.

A great lunch set - this restaurant specializes in a single course meal and it is a perfect experience. Sit at the counter and enjoy the view of the trees over the river as the trays with your food are prepared in front of you.

The food was very tasty with vegetables, amazing fish and a simple but beautiful dessert.

The service was perfect - we had called ahead since we needed to make sure the seating was accessible for one of our friends and the staff was very considerate...
