We stayed at nearby Dormy Inn hotel, which helped us to make the dinner reservation at Pinoli since I was not able to book via tabelog.
Given the impressive google rating, I thought we should try for a change. It turned out to be an excellent choice.
The service was impeccable. The waitress spoke minimal English and tried her utmost best to explain or reply our questions. She even gave an amazing dessert recommendation to my partner and he said he could have three more. He cannot stop singing praises of the dessert and says he wants to go back again soon.
We ordered three appetisers and one ragu pasta to share. I believe all ingredients were sourced locally and they were the freshest possible. One appetiser stands out to me, it’s the bruschetta with dried mullet fish roe butter. We couldn’t remember what exactly we ordered and we were guessing so hard what it was after the first bite. It tasted like an aged cheese too, love the amazing taste together with a high quality butter. I want to have to again.
The other two appetisers were bonito tartare and octopus braised in tomato sauce. Both were absolutely delightful.
The ragu pasta also blew us away. Wow, the sauce was well braised and flavourful without being overly salty. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente, giving each bite so well done. We cannot believe how lucky we were to enjoy such a delicious pasta in Miyazaki.
My partner enjoyed the dessert very much and keeps saying it is too good. He wants to return. Maybe we will go back for dinner on our last night in Miyazaki.
