Hakataya Miyoshi — Restaurant in Miyoshi

I got the shoyu pork ramen (¥682) with soft-boiled egg (¥109). It was really delicious! The broth was salty and deeply flavourful and the pork had a nice charred aspect to it. The bamboo shoots had a good bite and were salty too.

Since I don’t understand Japanese, I don’t know what kind of noodles I got and I think the waitress was very frustrated with me when she kept asking what I wanted and I couldn’t answer. Eventually she just sent my order to the cook and I got back a bowl with thin, slightly al dente noodles reminiscent of Yet Ca Mein (if cooked properly). It was unlike any ramen I’ve had before, but it was really good so I didn’t mind!

I was still hungry so I ordered a plate of gyoza (~¥391). I don’t actually like gyoza but I wanted to see if my feelings had changed. They didn’t, but I could see why people would like it.

具材一つひとつが丁寧に仕込まれていて、全体的にとてもクオリティが高かったです。

スタッフの方々は若くて、日本語がうまく話せない私にもとても親切に対応してくれました。

調理していたのは年配の男性のようで、職人のような雰囲気がありました。全体的に、とても良い食事体験でした！

The ramen is very delicious. I had extra spicy pork broth, the yellow noodles was refine and firm, the char siew has lean meat and soft fat. The ingredients used were refined and well prepared.

The service staff are young, they were eager to serve even though my Japanese was not fluent. The cook seems to be an older man, overall a very positive...
