Monshichi — Restaurant in Mobara

We've been coming here even before they changed and demolished the old restaurant. We loved eating at Monshichi and their other restaurant called Hachi. We enjoyed the atmosphere a lot and were so amazed by the big old trees surrounding the restaurant. That's why when we saw the new Monshichi restaurant we were in shock and very disappointed to see that the old trees were cut down and the old house demolished. Not only that, the Hachi restaurant is gone. We don't know why would they allow such a drastic and nonsensical change to the area and environment. It's so brutal to kill such old trees. Also, the unfinished street in front of the new restaurant doesn't make sense at all. Why? And for what? We still go to the new Monshichi sometimes but it doesn't feel the same. ずっと気になっていたお店。通りから一歩入った静かな住宅街に素敵な古民家のもんしちが有りました。店内に入ると此処は都内だった?!と錯覚する洗煉された空間でした。店内は中央にオープンキッチンが有りその周りがカウンター席、テーブル席が少しと奥が個室。このお店にはレジが無く席での会計。トイレは一つで男女共用ですが綺麗です。 料理は全体的に美味しいと思いました。私的に一つ残念な所は鰹の藁焼きに塩が振ってある様でしたが強かったです。その時の加減だと思います。それより目の前で本当に藁で焼いている所を見て口に入れると香ばしい藁の香りが最高の調味料でした。この近辺の山海の幸を使用し和食をアレンジした料理はどんな種類のお酒にも合うと思いますが、私は日本酒かなぁ〜（笑）客層は若い方から年配の方まで居て、どの世代の方でも居心地良いかと。私が居た時は皆さんが雰囲気に合わせた音量の会話を楽しみながら大人な過ごし方が出来る方達でしたよ！個室には声だけだけどかなり小さいお子さんが静かに食事を楽しんでいました。スタッフさん達も皆さん感じ良くとても居心地良いお...
